Regman Posted June 12, 2013 at 03:20 PM Report Share Posted June 12, 2013 at 03:20 PM For those of you former BMW owners who liked the feature that tilts the passenger side mirror to the curb (for parking), if you're not using memory position 2 or 3, you can program them to leave all the settings as is but tilt the mirror down. If you have to park close to another vehicle in a driveway, you'll appreciate this workaround. FusionEnergi
howardbc Posted June 12, 2013 at 03:37 PM Report Share Posted June 12, 2013 at 03:37 PM Thanks, Regman. I'm not a former BMW owner, but was wondering what those 3 buttons were for on the driver's door. I thought they were for seat positions. I really would like to get another copy of the owner's manual (to keep in the house) to look up things like that.
CombsAuthor Posted June 12, 2013 at 04:51 PM Report Share Posted June 12, 2013 at 04:51 PM That's a great idea. We've got a Honda that drops them down when you put it in reverse which has really spoiled me. (I back into the garage). When you use a certain key, it will reset the seat and mirror setting to your key. So I'm gonna promptly go in and set Seat setting number 3 to "mirrors down" Thanks

You can go to www.motorcraftservice.com and click the left link for "Owner Guides" (I think that was the name, something like that) and then choose the proper one and download the PDF file to your PC at home -- it's also much quicker/easier to search for things with a Control-F than by thumbing through paper pages.
