BadRock Posted June 5, 2013 at 05:47 PM Report Share Posted June 5, 2013 at 05:47 PM I have found that community driven spreadsheets can cut down on research time when it comes to similar inquires. That being said I created a folder on Google Docs Drive with a couple of files that have commonly requested information. Please add to these as you find information. Also try and keep them clean and tidy as well. They are very basic and are far from complete. File Folder: Energi Documents - https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B627rda5d4oeWkxVVXBQZ0RHQ3M&usp=sharingThis folder contains a couple of Fusion Energi related spreadsheets, please add files if they are appropriate and pertain to the Fusion Energi File: Energi TSBs - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aq27rda5d4oedDVENzJYckQ1U2Y2WXdNZWFXWmhmY1E&usp=sharingThis file contains Energi Technical Service Bulletins, please add to it as you find additional TSBs and/or more are published. File: Tax Credit Links - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aq27rda5d4oedHdqZVhfUkRkc1FHZUlDQ1QxRkpWRmc&usp=sharingThis file contains federal and state tax credits, I have added a sheet for Colorado, please add sheets for your state and populate the data as you find it. mmmhmmmm, FusionEnergi, meyersnole and 1 other
Diesel jay Posted June 6, 2013 at 12:19 AM Report Share Posted June 6, 2013 at 12:19 AM Hello This is a great idea! I didn't know there was a level 2 charger credit. Do you have any details on this credit? Thanks
Russael Posted June 6, 2013 at 01:30 AM Report Share Posted June 6, 2013 at 01:30 AM Hello This is a great idea! I didn't know there was a level 2 charger credit. Do you have any details on this credit? Thanks It's 30% of the cost of the charger, and I believe you're also allowed to claim 30% of the installation as well (it doesn't say that installation is excluded). I installed mine myself, so the charger with install kit was 821, and I should get back somewhere around 246 for it. As far as the vehicle credit goes, there's 2 similar forms... make sure you use the 8936 form, not the 8834 form... it confused the heck out of me at first. Both are for electric vehicles but one is for smaller ones, such as golf carts. mmmhmmmm

Eric4539 Posted July 6, 2013 at 01:24 PM Report Share Posted July 6, 2013 at 01:24 PM Hi fellow Energi owners! I have been researching the various refunds/rebates for my Energi and then I found this topic. Thank you BadRock for starting this. I added a California tab with a few links for incentives available for the state and one link specifically for those living in the San Joaquin Valley (where the air quality is horrible). I also added a link for Alternative Fuels Data Center: Federal Laws and Incentives. http://www.afdc.energy.gov/laws/fed_summary If you go to that link, on the left side, there is a link to "State" and you can select any state to view all incentives that you may qualify for. I have been busy filling out forms! FusionEnergi

Eric4539 Posted July 26, 2013 at 11:35 PM Report Share Posted July 26, 2013 at 11:35 PM Has anyone received their $1500 Clean Vehicle Rebate Project check yet? I received my confirmation email on Monday! Congratulations! Your Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) application has been approved.Vehicle InformationVehicle Model: Ford, Fusion Energi, Vehicle Year: 2013Rebate checks are issued in the order applications were approved and no later than sixty (60) days after application approval. I finally submitted another application for a $2000 rebate for the San Joaquin Valley here in California. It took the same copies of paperwork and proof of residency as the CVRP but this also said I had to agree to periodic (I think annual) follow ups and questions on whether I still own the vehicle and questions on its performance. At the rate you're going with the rebates, you're going to have all of us pay for your car. :victory: mmmhmmmm

TX NRG Posted September 13, 2013 at 06:09 AM Report Share Posted September 13, 2013 at 06:09 AM Well, what do you know? http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/30D.-New-Qualified-Plug-in-Electric-Drive-Motor-Vehicles-–-Ford-Motor-Company I wonder why it went up $256. Did the law get amended somehow? It was effectively $2,917 plus $417 for each 1kWh over 5kWh. The page explaining the calculation of the credit hasn't been updated in some time.http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/Qualified-Vehicles-Acquired-after-12-31-2009
shaggy314 Posted September 16, 2013 at 07:58 PM Report Share Posted September 16, 2013 at 07:58 PM Miscalculations by all of us lead to $3751. To quote the IRS (underpaid and overworked):"For vehicles acquired after 12/31/2009, the credit is equal to $2,500 plus, for a vehicle which draws propulsion energy from a battery with at least 5 kilowatt hours of capacity, $417, plus an additional $417 for each kilowatt hour of battery capacity in excess of 5 kilowatt hours." So you can read that to say: $2917 + (capacity over 5 kwh * $417). So we have $2500 + $417 + (7.6 - 5) * $417 = $4007
TX NRG Posted September 17, 2013 at 05:22 AM Report Share Posted September 17, 2013 at 05:22 AM That math works out to $4001.2. The battery capacity has to be about 7.614 kWh to make the math match.
