jeff_h Posted June 2, 2013 at 07:25 PM Report Share Posted June 2, 2013 at 07:25 PM (edited) My guess (and only a guess) is that this only affects Job 1 Fusions... so my SE Hybrid is affected as it was built in December, but wife's Energi is not affected. The recall for the fuel system is 13S04. To see if there was a delineation between VINs in Job 1 and Job 2, yesterday I checked some VINs from each set -- 12 of 12 VINs built during Job 1 came up with 13S04, and 0 of 12 VINs from Job 2 had it. To check your VIN, you can go to www.etis.ford.com (has downtime in Sundays, may not be available until evening on Sundays) and input your VIN -- on the left side for my VIN (for SE Hybrid built during Job 1), I see Outstanding Field Service Actions13B03 - INSTALL LEATHER SHIFTER KNOB13S04 - FUEL DELIVERY MODULE REPLACEMENT However when I input the VIN for my wife's Energi, no actions are shown. mczajka Posted June 3, 2013 at 04:17 PM Report Share Posted June 3, 2013 at 04:17 PM Does not appear to be Energi related. I keyed my VIN # in too.

howardbc Posted June 9, 2013 at 01:06 AM Report Share Posted June 9, 2013 at 01:06 AM Thank you, jeff_h. I went to the website you mentioned, put in my VIN, and it says there are no actions (can't remember exact words.) Thanks so much. I do expect there to be recalls because the Fusion Energi is a brand-new model with fairly new technology. I won't be upset just as long as Ford keeps us informed and quickly addresses and fixes any glitches.

Not necessarily - my 2010 Fusion Hybrid was a new model with new technology, although there had been Escape Hybrids for a few years by that time, that was the first year of the Fusion Hybrid and mine was built in the 3rd month of production. I can't remember a single recall on the car.

In May or June of 2009 there was a recall to reprogram the relation between regen braking and friction braking.

Thanks -- must have been corrected by the time mine was built, I guess you had one of the really early ones.

shaggy314 Posted June 28, 2013 at 06:40 PM Report Share Posted June 28, 2013 at 06:40 PM Etis is a European web site, where they do not have FUSIONs, so it defaults to a transit van, just ignore that part, everything else should be cool. Despite the looks Mondeo <> Fusion in the VIN system so it guesses... incorrectly.
