Fineus Posted March 17, 2022 at 01:37 AM Report Share Posted March 17, 2022 at 01:37 AM I apologize if this topic has been discussed with a resolution, but I am at a loss with the information I can find and Ford hasn't been helpful at all. I have a 2017 Ford Fusion Energi and initially used MyFordMobile without issue. I was able to receive push notifications when my car was done charging which was very helpful for public charging locations so I can move on and let someone else use the charger. I had the 4G modem update completed at my local dealer which was successful and switched over to FordPass app. I can see charge levels if I log into the app, lock/unlock and start the vehicle. But - it will not send me push notifications for when the car is done charging. I have tried going into 'Charge Level Notification' and it never saves - just spins. Again, communication between the car and FordPass is fine since all other functions are working. The dealership was unable to help and said this feature just isn't available anymore. Then I called Ford and they said it was the FordPass Connectivity and I needed to go into Settings, FordPass Connect, and Connectivity settings. I don't see FordPass Connect and I went through all settings - nothing about connectivity. They said the modem was installed incorrectly and I need to return to the dealer. You can guess - dealer says modem install is just fine. After reading many forums, I have uninstalled FordPass and reinstalled. I have done a master reset of my SYNC 3 system in the car. I have unlinked the car and reactivated it in FordPass. I have went into EVERY. SINGLE. MENU. I have completed endless updates to SYNC 3 and mobile apps in the car - still nothing. What am I missing? It's not a crazy feature to expect - any advice? Appreciate the feedback.
Cactusmatt Posted March 17, 2022 at 05:48 PM Report Share Posted March 17, 2022 at 05:48 PM I did the DIY modem install from a 2017 Escape and even though I have all the same settings you have in my 2019 Fusion Energi I do not even have the option to turn the 'Charge Level Notification' on. I did chat with Fordpass help in the app and they confirmed it's a feature that is not ready for those who have the new 4G modem. Even though I know for sure there are CMAX Energi users who have this magically show up after awhile. From what I'm finding out it's something Fordpass needs to work out. At least that's what I'm hoping. I have a bug where I can remote start but it tells me it failed, after starting the car. Fineus
Fineus Posted March 17, 2022 at 06:24 PM Author Report Share Posted March 17, 2022 at 06:24 PM Thanks - I have the same issue with remote start. I thought it was signal related, but perhaps it's a bug.
Cactusmatt Posted March 17, 2022 at 07:40 PM Report Share Posted March 17, 2022 at 07:40 PM I wouldn't be shy about chatting with support on the Fordpass app on the issue just to "verify" it's a known issue, they have to log all the complaints and the more of us they hear from I'm hoping the harder they will work on it. GreySkies Posted June 23, 2022 at 01:45 AM Report Share Posted June 23, 2022 at 01:45 AM Yeah, I would call the Ford Pass App CS. I had an issue with the app not showing the charge status. The app Tech support took awhile but resolved the issue. I do get the push notifications on my phone and Apple Watch.
