2018 MFM connection

Just purchased a 2018.  I can connect to MFM over wifi, is there a way to activate the modem on it?  I'm in Canada if that makes any difference.

If your car's VIN is in the MFM account there is a place to trigger the connection to the car.

Once done, sometime within the next 24 hours a message will appear on the car's screen that you have to acknowledge on the screen.

 

I'm assuming that it has always been a Canadian car and will link to a Canadian cell phone service.  In the USA they use AT&T.

 

Make sure the car is outside in the clear because the transmission will come in over the cellular modem.

In MFM, the VIN number is added. There is a section for MFM Subscription which just shows Active thru: - -

Is this the section where it would be triggered?  I don’t see anything on there as a registration link. 

 

Yes, dealer records show it as always being a Canadian car.

Are you using MFM on a cell phone?  Use MFM on a computer to do the activation.

I traded my 2013 Energi in on a 2021 Mustang Mach-E and no longer have access to a car in MFM.

My recollection, which may be wrong since it happened 8 years ago, is that I was prompted to activate the car if it wasn't activated.
