Scooter80 Posted April 17, 2013 at 06:03 AM Report Share Posted April 17, 2013 at 06:03 AM Anyone been able to tie their seat position to their Fob? I'm having no luck trying per the manual's instructions: "Linking a Pre-Set Position to your Remote Control or Intelligent Access KeyYour vehicle can save the pre-set memory positions for up to three remote controls or intelligent access (IA) keys.1. With the ignition on, move the memory positions to the desired positions.2. Press and hold the desired pre-set button for about five seconds. A chime will sound after about two seconds. Continue holding until a second chime is heard.3. Within three seconds, press the lock button on the remote control you are linking. A single chime will sound." mmmhmmmm
47Minutes Posted April 17, 2013 at 02:27 PM Report Share Posted April 17, 2013 at 02:27 PM I performed the same steps but haven't had a chance yet to test the result. I'm curious about what the trigger is for it to change. Is it unlocking/opening the door with the programmed fob in the car's presence? Maybe I'll play with it tonight when I get back from a dealer visit. Scooter80 and mmmhmmmm
Mr. Fusion Posted April 17, 2013 at 04:20 PM Report Share Posted April 17, 2013 at 04:20 PM I'm having issues too. I'm not getting the single confirmation chime, thus no fob memory sync. I'm hoping it's an easy fix like the auto up windows.

Scooter80 Posted April 18, 2013 at 03:18 AM Author Report Share Posted April 18, 2013 at 03:18 AM I can't get a result on #3. I've tried continuing to hold the seat memory button while hitting the lock button on the fob, and I've also tried releasing the memory before hitting the lock. Either way I've gotten the doors to lock, and/or the horn to chirp, but never another chime. I performed the same steps but haven't had a chance yet to test the result. I'm curious about what the trigger is for it to change. Is it unlocking/opening the door with the programmed fob in the car's presence? Now the fobs will work, but the seats only move into place when you press unlock on the fob. I can not get the seats to move into place by just having the fob in the presence of the car. Maybe I miss understood? If the fobs in my pocket or my wifes purse we will just have to press the memory seat position. I will ask the dealer on tuesday unless one of you already knows if the seats are suppose to move into place when I get close to the door.?! Our 2011 Explorer will move seats and mirrors based on who unlocks the door, which is done by touching the handle with the fob in my pocket. The Fusion should work the same way. mdNergi Posted September 18, 2013 at 05:22 PM Report Share Posted September 18, 2013 at 05:22 PM Anyone able to program the key fob to change seat positions automatically? As member 'FusionEnergi' mentioned, my seats positions change only when the unlock button is pressed on the keyfob and not when using proximity to unlock the car. Hybridbear Posted April 29, 2015 at 01:47 PM Report Share Posted April 29, 2015 at 01:47 PM For those who have had the TSB done, what happens when both fobs are present? My wife & I often go places together in the Fusion. When I grab a handle the doors unlock because my fob is nearby. When she grabs the passenger handle the doors unlock again because her fob is in her purse. How does the system work after the update? Does the memory seat only respond to the fob that unlocks the driver's door? Does it respond to the first fob to be detected unlocking a door? Thanks!
