Hi. Can someone please re-send the link that will take me to the owner's manual (full version) for the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi?

I know someone has already answered this and I saved it to my Desktop but had to make some changes to my PC's Settings and now I can't find it. I did a search inside this forum and no luck.

I remember I had to go through Motocraft. And I think it was hidden in a regular Fusion or a Fusion hybrid's manual. It's a shame that Ford doesn't have it where it can be easily found.

Many thanks.

Bobbie

Hi Bobbie,

larryh posted it here: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/614-fusion-energi-on-dealer-lots/?p=2793

If you go to the main page of this forum: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/

You will see a search forums in the upper right, right under your user name. The forum has changed considerably in the past month with the number of users and information here making that search much more useful.

The link to the manuals is at the bottom.

If you register, your vehicle info will always be available including direct access to your owners manual, maintenance history, vehicle health reports, etc.

It's worth the few minutes to register.

I have my Energi registered at owner.ford.com but the manual link it gives me always pulls up the plain Fusion one not the Hybrid/Energi one.  I got mine here:  www.motorcraftservice.com  It is a part of the non-subscription services.

I do agree about it being worth registering at owner.ford.com.

Okay, darn it, I have registered and gone to all the links mentioned but it still won't let me save a permanent copy to my Desktop (or anywhere else). Yes, I can pull up a copy but it eventually goes away and I have to pull it up again. I followed the instructions to occasionally log off.

I am using a Windows7 PC. Chrome is my usual browser. I save the document and it is there for me for a day or so but eventually disappears. I don't want to have to go through everything every time I have a question about something in the manual. I want another paper copy since the PDF for the car won't stay on my PC. But I have also had no luck in finding where it will allow me to order another copy.

I asked about getting another paper copy at a Ford dealership and was told it was something like $125(!). I know I can just take the paper copy out of the glove box, but worry that I will forget to put it back and will later have a situation where I really need to find something in the manual.

Surely I'm not the only one who has noticed that the PDF copy doesn't stay permanently. I have been using a computer and saving PDFs for years. This is a home computer with no fancy software. Any suggestions are again appreciated. Thanks.

If you look in the My Documents directory, you will see the file.  The name should be 13fhyom3e.pdf.  If you switch to the details view using the view menu, does it list the type as Adobe Acrobat Document?  What error do you get when you double click on the file?

Thank you everyone for all your help on this. I downloaded it for about the 4th time and have now let it sit for a few days. Previously, it would work the first day or so, then wouldn't let me open it. I don't remember what the exact error message was ... something about it just no longer being available.

But now it seems to be working - so far. The first couple of times I may have downloaded it to my Desktop only - what I usually do with no problems - but for whatever reason it kept requiring me to download/open it every time. This last time I did specifically save it in My Documents first and then I created a shortcut of it to put on my Desktop. After 3 days it is still letting me open it. Fingers crossed.

It was also not staying on my iPad2 but I will try that again too. (Any tips on that?) I have never had a problem saving PDFs to my Desktop or iPad. In fact I have downloaded and saved another owners manual (for another product) since I first started trying with the Ford manual.

Whatever, it seems to be working on my PC now and I thank everyone for their help.
