My Ford Mobile - Not Connecting to Fusion

Ok guys... I just picked up my new Fusion Energi the other day and love it so far. However, I am having trouble getting the MyFordMobile.com website and iPhone app to connect to my car.  I added the car using the VIN and it said I just need to confirm int he car that I have access to vehicle. This was two days ago and nada.  I have no features available online or in the iPhone. Any clues?

Thanks,

Sean

Have you checked for the acceptance message when the car is in a different location, maybe with better cell service? Have you logged back into the website to see if there are any messages there?

Russael, VIN was typed properly as I have tried multiple times now to add it again and it tells me I have already requested authorization. Yes, Sat radio work perfectly.

Energized, Maybe I don't know how to "check for acceptance".... is there a menu I am supposed to navigate to?

Also, I did notice that I could not run a System Health Check yet because I don't have at least 200 miles on it... could that be a reason?

Thanks again,

Sean

Yes, a little acceptance screen pops up on the touch screen when you start the car. You press okay, and then you have to the same thing once more 24 hours later (for security purposes).

The MyFord Mobile system works through a two-way cellular data connection the car has embedded in it and not through the Sirius sat system. Do you have good cell phone coverage where you are? I think it uses AT&T.

I'd recommend calling the MFM help desk and see what they show on their end. Maybe they can reset your account and resend a request to your car.

I wasn't 100% sure if the car had a cellular radio in it or not.  I do remember something mentioning that if you wanted the car to be a wireless hotspot, you needed to plug in one of those dongles from a provider such as ATT or Verizon and then it'd work, which is why I wasn't sure if the car had that or not.
