CombsAuthor Posted April 8, 2013 at 07:05 PM Report Share Posted April 8, 2013 at 07:05 PM http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/gallery/album/11-splendida-futuris-bright-future/Hey there - I've been watching this forum for a few weeks and have really enjoyed the expertise and experience here. We just picked up our Fusion Energi last week, and absolutely love the car! I first saw it at the Auto Show and had actually gone to research the C Max Energi as well as the other plug in hybrids that were offered. When we saw the Fusion Energi it was love at first sight. The seats were comfortable, the quality of construction was excellent, and of course the styling was unbelievable. Everything else that we looked at had the Prius feel or was built with really cheap plastic and didn't seem like they would last long. We bought the Energi for the technology and wanted every option that was available. After driving the Fusion Hybrid we made a deposit and found that they had a Sterling Gray Energi with the Titanium Trim Package was on the train and heading to our local dealer, (what luck was that?). Most of our driving is at close distance, so the Energi is the perfect car for us. So far we're averaging 84.5 to 97.0 mpg so we have really enjoyed the economy. I downloaded the PDF of the owner's manual and have read through it twice and have watched every video that I could in order to become more familiar with the systems. The only thing that we've done is tinted the windows and pinstriped it with a thin line from front to back. All that is left on my short list is to add the splash guards to the front and rear wheel wells and to track down a window shade for the windshield. Here are some photos that I've uploaded: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/gallery/album/11-splendida-futuris-bright-future/ I'm excited to hang with you and offer whatever I can along the way. meyersnole
pluggedin Posted April 8, 2013 at 07:23 PM Report Share Posted April 8, 2013 at 07:23 PM Welcome, CombsAuthor! It sounds like you did not have to wait long for your car and that is fantastic. I'm sure you know the sad tales of woe that I and others have weaved here as we waited for our cars...and some still do. Loved your pictures! They gave me a clue to a couple of screens I haven't seen yet and I did not know we could upload other back ground pictures. Thanks. I'm sure I speak for others here when I say we look forward to sharing your Energi experience with you.
CombsAuthor Posted April 8, 2013 at 08:14 PM Author Report Share Posted April 8, 2013 at 08:14 PM Thank-you so much pluggedin. Yep, I really was prepared to join the list and wait...but it was just good fortune that we had the exact color, trim, and features show up when they did. One thing for sure is that it is every bit worth the wait. The car is quiet, smooth, and a technological marvel. I'm looking forward to contributing in any way possible. jeff_h Posted April 8, 2013 at 09:55 PM Report Share Posted April 8, 2013 at 09:55 PM Welcome... I have an SE Hybrid, but looking around for the right Blue Energi for my wife, as her daily driving seems like a perfect fit. So I'm also looking at the various threads and gathering info about the L2 chargers etc.

Peter Kiener Posted April 10, 2013 at 12:58 AM Report Share Posted April 10, 2013 at 12:58 AM I picked up my new Energi this afternoon. I drove home (12 miles) and did not use a drop of gas!!! I love it. Will charge it over night on my new charger and then do more electric miles tomorrow To me all the different modes and settings on this car are a bit overwhelming at the moment but I am sure I will figure them out very shortlyBottom line very happy. Also got $1500 incentive and $750 (coupon in the brochure) from ford so also pretty happy about that I really really like the bordeaux red color, the brochure or pictures do not do it justice in the sunlight pluggedin and Scooter80

http Posted April 10, 2013 at 07:55 PM Report Share Posted April 10, 2013 at 07:55 PM I really really like the bordeaux red color, the brochure or pictures do not do it justice in the sunlight I read that Ford is discontinuing the Bordeaux Red for 2014. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Mine is on order. Will that make if more valuable or flag it as an older model?

Who cares as long as YOU like the color, right? Ginger Ale was an available color for the 2013 models but apparently not many were made before that was discontinued. It's not like a trendy Lime Green or Purple Grape color that looks good for a year then you later ask yourself.....What was I thinking?!?
