I believe it's in the owners manual. You can upload the image by either the SD or USB according to the manual.

press the Settings icon > Display > Edit Wallpaper, and then follow the system prompts to upload your photographs.
Only the photograph(s), which meets the following conditions, display:
• Compatible file formats are as follows: .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp
• Each file must be 1.5 MB or less.
• Recommended dimensions: 800 x 384

The system lets you upload up to 32 photos

I can't get my Mac to set the picture at the 800x 384. I don't get it!

help please

Not a Mac user, but you would need some photo editing software to make that change... here is a free one: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/freesoftware/fr/gimp.htm

here is a youtube tutorial on how to resize:

This is actually a great feature that we use a lot by changing the image with the others that I've preloaded. The key here is to use that 800 x 384 dimension.

Darker images or uncomplicated background shots are better.

Does a flash drive have to be formatted other than NTFS for MFT to recognize it?  I tried loading a background from a drive I use daily and it would not acknowledge that anything was plugged in.

Yes, it must be FAT32 and I have found the system does not perform very well with too many files. I got it to work (with some playing around) with over 8000 files, but the whole system becomes very slow. I think its RAM deprived.

Make sure all your tags are complete or the indexing will take FOREVER! There are some tools that will ensure your tags are good.
