pluggedin Posted March 29, 2013 at 06:51 PM Report Share Posted March 29, 2013 at 06:51 PM I have been able to program my garage door to open but not the automatic security gates (there are two) coming into our community. Has anyone programmed either the left or right button to operate their security gate?
bensonwilles Posted April 23, 2013 at 10:03 AM Report Share Posted April 23, 2013 at 10:03 AM Hey, I think I have a solution for it, when I usually seemed to have any kind of problem then I have only a single solution for it, I just reprogram it!! :) :)Why don't you try this method?? I think it would definitely help you :) :)

Has anyone programmed either the left or right button to operate their security gate?If those gates use a Skylink brand receiver it probably isn't going to work. I have a Skylink replacement receiver on my garage door and no way will the Homelink controller in the car learn from the Skylink transmitter. Two emails to Homelink support have been ignored so it's obvious (to me) that they don't have a solution.

apm Posted April 24, 2013 at 05:06 AM Report Share Posted April 24, 2013 at 05:06 AM I think this is one of the features where YMMV... I have been able to program my Homelink to open the security gate in my community on all the cars I have had that included it (I had a 2009 Yukon Hybrid that had the Lear Car2U universal remote and it never worked). The brand of the system in my community is Door King if I remember correctly. I followed the procedure in the manual to program it, but I think I had to press the button in the remote at least a couple of times while holding the Homelink button down to get it to program. Hope this helps! Regards,APM
rolewis Posted June 15, 2013 at 03:57 AM Report Share Posted June 15, 2013 at 03:57 AM Just bought my Fusion Energi Titanium with the Moonroof w/UNIV GAR DR OPENER. Problem is I can't find the darn thing. Looked on the driver side sun visor and nothing but the mirror. Any ideas where to look other than the dealership? GregKet1 Posted June 15, 2013 at 06:01 AM Report Share Posted June 15, 2013 at 06:01 AM Put the mirror up to the ceiling. The control with three buttons should now be facing you. If they aren't right there "in your face" then a trip to the dealer is in order.
