I got some extremely light weight 18" wheels to replace them and looking for tires.. 1. should I be looking at 225/45/18 or 235/45/18 as the 225 is thinner, it should help with the resistance but I don't know if the weight of the vehicle would be the issue. 2. what is a good low resistance tire , only summer is fine or all season too. for winter I will use a strictly winter tire on the hungry wheels. This is what I am doing when I finally have to change the horrible stock tires. The Fusion Sport trim guys even use 255s all the way around so you won't have any issues rubbing. MPG will most likely be lost, but in my opinion the Energy has a real stopping problem on 225s especially on wet surfaces. I already had two close calls and one damage so if roads are wet now I drive on L all the time period. Better brake pads are on the list as well when its time for a change! There is no low resistance tire that is a summer tire as the summer ones tend to be stickier so the two terms would work against each other.
