Ponyguy Posted February 26, 2020 at 10:01 AM Report Share Posted February 26, 2020 at 10:01 AM I'm finally trying to get familiar with my new (to me) Fusion Energie, and have been paging through the manuals and reference guides. A few items have me puzzled: The manual mentions the power operated steering column. On mine, it adjusts in & out, and up and down, but manually, by tripping a lever underneath the column. Was the power operated adjustment eliminated? Or was that meant as an option for the Lincoln MKZ? Another item mentioned was the 400 watt 120 Volt household convenience outlet; My car doesn't have it. Another MKZ feature? And, I've noticed folks complaining of the missing under-hood insulation and rubber insulation.
murphy Posted February 26, 2020 at 10:13 AM Report Share Posted February 26, 2020 at 10:13 AM The convenience outlet was on the 2010 - 2012 Fusion Hybrid. It was 150 watts. My 2013 Energi Titanium does not have it. I adjusted the steering wheel 7 years ago when I bought the car but haven't adjusted it since. I don't remember if it is manual or electric. Davidoo Posted February 26, 2020 at 10:55 PM Report Share Posted February 26, 2020 at 10:55 PM The 120 Volt convenience outlet was in my 2011 and is also in my current 2017 Energi. I don't think they discontinued it, but maybe the newer owners can verify.
Gkinla Posted February 27, 2020 at 12:35 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2020 at 12:35 AM (edited) Both my 2013 Titanium Fusion Hybrid and my 2016 Titanium Energi , have the 120 Volt convenience outlet, on the back lower center console. Edit: (I just reread the manual and it says if equipped) Edited February 27, 2020 at 12:54 AM by Gkinla
16vjohn Posted July 27, 2020 at 09:31 PM Report Share Posted July 27, 2020 at 09:31 PM I test drove a 2016 Energi Platinum with a power adjust steering wheel. It also had a stitched leather dashboard. Too bad it was maroon or I would have gotten it. Had an extreme geriatric vibe. Like Murphy, I adjusted mine once and left it alone. For the power outlet, My 2013 Energi Titantium has one and my 2016 Energi SE "With Luxury" has one.
j8048188 Posted July 27, 2020 at 11:40 PM Report Share Posted July 27, 2020 at 11:40 PM My 2020 Titanium Plug-in Hybrid fusion does not have the convenience outlet in the rear/center console. Steering adjust is manual. No insulation under the hood. No front park sensors or Park Assist.
