Hardp Posted January 13, 2020 at 02:52 PM Report Share Posted January 13, 2020 at 02:52 PM I notice that frequently, when I start my 2019 Fusion energi, the seat memory does not work and I have to manually push button 1. At first, I thought is was because I switched from P mode to D mode but this isn't the case. Is there something that I'm doing (or not doing) that blocks it from working? Thanks. murphy Posted January 13, 2020 at 03:03 PM Report Share Posted January 13, 2020 at 03:03 PM My process is: Attach seat belt but keep the shoulder loop out in front of me so it can take up slack when the seat moves. Put foot on brake. Push and release the Start button and wait until the seat stops moving. Let go of the shoulder seat belt loop. The seat should only move in P. If the seat were to move while driving it could cause an accident. I have not tested this but I hope that is the way it works.
Hardp Posted January 13, 2020 at 03:35 PM Author Report Share Posted January 13, 2020 at 03:35 PM Thanks. I'll try this tonite on the way home. However, if I'm already in D when I notice it, when I come to a stop and press Seat 1, it moves into place - you're right tho', it shouldn't.
