mczajka Posted March 16, 2013 at 01:58 AM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 01:58 AM (edited) I purchased a Fusion Energi Titanium yesterday and I love it! The only snag right now is that all the brochures said it would have Aluminum Pedals. But the car does not have them, and Ford now does NOT list them here: http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/trim/titaniumenergi/ but they do here: http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/trim/titanium/. So, what happened to them on the Energi? Safety problem? I've got my dealer looking into it. :( Edited March 16, 2013 at 01:58 AM by mczajka
efudd Posted March 16, 2013 at 02:12 AM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 02:12 AM The aluminum petals were in some of the earlier builds, but they're not showing up in the current builds when delivered. I think the jury is still out as to why there was the production change.

efudd Posted March 16, 2013 at 02:22 AM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 02:22 AM I'm not sure. The conversation was mainly about the Titanium Hybrid/Energi, and it starts at post #1080 (page 54) on this thread over at the Blue Oval forums:http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/51500-shipping-eta-tbd/page-
meyersnole Posted March 16, 2013 at 02:48 AM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 02:48 AM Not sure if you knew this, but if you click the share symbol next to the post number you can get a link to that post: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/51500-shipping-eta-tbd/?p=834166 I don't really miss the shiny pedals, but the driver side mat is crap. Not sure what I am going to do about that yet.
efudd Posted March 16, 2013 at 04:28 AM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 04:28 AM Aah. That's a lot easier -- thanks for the tip!
TX NRG Posted March 16, 2013 at 07:06 AM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 07:06 AM Is this just on the Energi, or across the board? From the Feb 27th price list change posted on BOF: "Fusion Hybrid Titanium and Fusion Energi Titanium will not have Aluminum Brake and Accelerator Pedals and the price has been reduced by $100 MSRP." See attachment in post #675 over on BOF for the March price list update: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/52490-progress-on-orders-for-fusion-energi-and-hybrid-titanium/page-34&do=findComment&comment=838227
Mr. Fusion Posted March 16, 2013 at 11:16 AM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 11:16 AM That sucks that they removed content, but at least the price reflects it. Now I want to know what justifies the $100 increases in some of the packages. Does the extra $100 for the moonroof give you a brushed aluminum moonroof switch? Does the active park assist, for another $100, give you a back rub while it's parallel parking? If there is ANY issue with the $1,500 rebate when my car comes in after April 1st... Not going to be happy.
meyersnole Posted March 16, 2013 at 08:28 PM Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 at 08:28 PM Fusion, there should only be issues if you change something after 4/1. My $750 technically expired when I switched from my ordered car to the dealer lot car. Was my understanding that if I had waited for the car to come in, it was already in the system so no issues -- changing the deal caused a little work to be done to make it work. You should be good to go. Best of luck to you!

Scooter80 Posted March 17, 2013 at 12:43 AM Report Share Posted March 17, 2013 at 12:43 AM Just picked mine up today and the aluminum pedals are absent. Kinda stinks, but I guess we wont be looking at them much anyways.
meyersnole Posted March 17, 2013 at 05:03 AM Report Share Posted March 17, 2013 at 05:03 AM Thanks! I hope week 1 in the Energi was a good one.Very good week... car now has over 200 miles on it. A screen protector for the MFT. New tint on the windows. And today was warm enough for me to give it a bath... this car is going to take longer to clean with all the shapes then the previous car... it a looker but all those creases, corners, and dimples take time to clean! mczajka Posted March 17, 2013 at 04:15 PM Author Report Share Posted March 17, 2013 at 04:15 PM Car is fantastic. I'm close to 200 miles myself. A few things I finally figured out. I was like, "why do my high beams keep going on?" It's a feature. They go on and off automatically and detect oncoming traffic headlights, at quite an incredibally far distance. Also, when you get down to about 5 miles of EV range remaining, giant concentric circles appear on the map around your location/arrrow, showing you on the map about how much range you have left. This is pretty cool. Andre07
Markn455 Posted July 26, 2013 at 11:57 PM Report Share Posted July 26, 2013 at 11:57 PM I understand they reduced the MSRP $100 and removed the aluminum pedals. But, I wanted them. Can you purchase them as a part and have the dealer install them? The Disappointing thing is if you look, they have added them back again on the 2014. shaggy314 Posted July 31, 2013 at 07:03 PM Report Share Posted July 31, 2013 at 07:03 PM (edited) Yeah, I got double stung. They dropped the price $100 for the pedals, but I was also getting the moonroof... which they coincidentally raised by $100. So I got nothing for nothing off.
