Eric4539 Posted July 16, 2013 at 04:15 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 at 04:15 AM My NuShield DayVue arrived in the mail today so I'm looking forward to installing it soon. Seems to be the same principle as installing screen savers on iPhones and iPads so I'm hoping it will be an easy install on the MFT screen as well. Eric4539 Posted July 20, 2013 at 09:36 PM Report Share Posted July 20, 2013 at 09:36 PM Installed the DayVue. The screen still picks up fingerprints but not quite as noticeable. The install was easy and the fit was perfect. I think the only way to really avoid fingerprints is to get used to using voice commands as much as possible. I'm still learning the commands... http
jeff_h Posted February 23, 2014 at 04:36 PM Report Share Posted February 23, 2014 at 04:36 PM I finally got some mild weather to apply one of the screen protectors and take comparison pics, pulled one car into the driveway and took a pic, then moved cars so the other one was in the same position in the driveway to have direct comparison with position and daylight. First screen has no protector, second one has the Day-Vue protector (obviously the one with less fingerprints since I cleaned the screen before applying), I think it definitely helps with cutting down on the glare. mmmhmmmm and FusionEnergi
Kybuck Posted April 11, 2014 at 04:18 AM Report Share Posted April 11, 2014 at 04:18 AM I ordered the "Triple A" and installed it yesterday. It took a while to clean off the screen to my satisfaction prior to installing (I used the Klear Screen kit, plus compressed air to blow away any residual dust), but once it was clean, it installed without any problems. I wish it was just slightly larger to better cover edge-to-edge, but that would likely complicate installation. It doesn't seem to attract fingerprints as much as without the protector, and any that do show up have wiped off much easier than before. bobnfloyd Posted April 17, 2014 at 05:33 PM Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 at 05:33 PM I used a Day-Vue one as well and I really like it, somehow it doesn't seem to show the prints as much, even though I touch it just as often. Keeping dust off of it while applying it was tough. I used a glass (eye glasses) cleaner cloth, and a microfiber cloth, and a ton of flicking, wiping, blowing, etc to keep it clean until I made the final application. It takes a while, surprisingly a ton of particles flying around your car on any given day. jeff_h
vett93 Posted April 18, 2014 at 08:35 PM Report Share Posted April 18, 2014 at 08:35 PM I also installed DayVue and have great results. Before the film, it was impossible to see the screen when the sun shines in from the passenger side. The finger prints form a reflective layer of the sun light and block the screen view. This can be a safety issue when you are driving and trying to adjust things. With the film, I can see much better. MFT is much easier to use as a result. Thanks to the thread and forums. jeff_h
SteveEnergi Posted April 22, 2014 at 11:15 AM Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 at 11:15 AM I installed the DayVue, as well and it makes an incredible difference. The screen is more crisp and it does an excellent job defeating glare. I can't say this is preventing any finger prints; it seems to hold the finger prints just as without the protector, but this protector wasn't designed to prevent fingerprints. Installing was under a couple of minutes. I purchased the clean wipes and they did an excellent job removing the dust.
Buddah Posted May 3, 2014 at 04:34 AM Report Share Posted May 3, 2014 at 04:34 AM Not sure how many also follow Blue Oval Forums. I think they are affiliated and I know they point to this forum so I hope it is okay to point back. Mods please let me know if I am breaking any rules. One thing I have notices about my new car is that you will be touching that screen for Nav / Phone / Setup / Climate frequently and it will be covered in finger prints almost immediately. I saw a discussion on blue oval that I think should be brought over here: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/51174-screen-protector-for-mft/ I ordered the Triple A one specifically for the finger prints. I plan to add window film to the windows, but I do not seem to have any glare problems yet. (Not Summer though either). Dag Posted September 27, 2014 at 11:05 PM Report Share Posted September 27, 2014 at 11:05 PM Do you order the one for the fusion hybrid? Is that the same size? Dag Posted October 13, 2014 at 08:19 PM Report Share Posted October 13, 2014 at 08:19 PM Just to confirm the DayVue screen is great. It cuts down considerably on the fingerprints and the glare. Easily a MUST do for everyone IMO. It installed easily and without issues and I'm a moron when it comes to this stuff..

Rexracer Posted October 14, 2014 at 03:24 PM Report Share Posted October 14, 2014 at 03:24 PM I didn't order one of these screen protectors for a long while because I don't do anything to damage the screen (I don't run a screen protector on my phone and never have a problem). Once I learned this is primarily for finger prints and glare i gave it a try. WELL worth the money, helps tremendously, and IMO greatly improves the clarity of the screen (looks far less pixilated and more crisp). musicmafia Posted October 14, 2014 at 05:52 PM Report Share Posted October 14, 2014 at 05:52 PM the folks at nushield seem unsure about 2015 FFE.... they say they don't have the car in their system and don't know what size film to send and may have to make one? anyone else here have a 2015 FFE? did you just order the 2014 hybrid version? isn't the screen size the same? bwheetley Posted November 15, 2014 at 03:19 PM Report Share Posted November 15, 2014 at 03:19 PM I installed a NuShield Triple A and am pretty happy with the anit-fingerprint protection it provides. It's not perfect, but really cuts down on them. The installation was pretty easy. You just want to make sure you clean the display really good first and try to keep dust off while you're applying it. If you have a piece of clear packing tape ready, you can use it to remove specks of dust from either the display or the protector while you're applying the protector. I had to do that to get one speck out and it worked great. Hybridbear and Dag
