Hate where the drive mode button is

Who else hates the placement of the drive mode button (Auto, EV, EV later)?   I use it several times a day as my commute is a bit long and have to switch to EV later on the highway portion, and switch back to Auto when I hit traffic.  I always accidentally hit the downhill assist or tap on the plastic portion on top of the button.  It's not intuitively placed.  And I wish the voice command could change the drive modes too.

(also hate the heated steering wheel switch is only on the panel, and what a distraction because I always use Android auto, so I need to exit Android auto screen to switch on/off the heated steering wheel.  Again I wish this was integrated with voice command).

Ok rant over.

Continuing on the theme, why does it have to switch the left dash screen to "energy use" whenever you go to EV mode?  What is the point of Ford offering a customizable "My View" for drivers if it is going to switch off every time you change modes?  I programmed my view so I can use it.  Energy use screen is about the most useless of all the options.

Sorry, had to add that one.

Interesting, mine doesn't change view when I switch from EV later to Auto (or vice versa).  Maybe they changed it for the later years (mine is 2019 model).   I agree, I would have been annoyed if mine did this too.

It only happens when you change to EV mode.  At least on my 2015.  If you cycle from Auto to EV later or the other way around, it doesn't do it.  Also, if when you change into EV mode it is still running the ICE, it won't do it either.  Only when you are already running on EV and change to EV mode will this happen, but that is most of the time.

oh yeah... just tried it today.  I never noticed because I never go in pure EV mode.  Just Auto - EV later and back.   Auto is usually all EV unless I push hard so EV only doesn't make sense for my driving.
