New from MA - 2017 Fusion Energi SE Lux

Hello all,

MA member here, live just outside of Boston.

My wife and I just bought a 2017 Fusion Energi SE Luxury in White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat with the Medium Light Stone interior, a really great combination if you ask me.
26,8__ miles when we picked it up, came off of lease.

We've owned nothing but Mopars and had no real plan to change, but Mopar didn't make anything that got this kind of gas mileage and my wife has a super long commute.
Her current car was killing us on gas, so while we loved it, we decided to move on and bought this on Saturday.

We are both very happy with it, and this car has proven to me that these cars never have received the respect they deserved and are a really great deal for their level of equipment and functionality - and we only bought an SE Luxury, never mind a Titanium or Platinum (though I'm not convinced the price difference those trims command is worth it).

Now our main focus is to keep the car on the road for as long as possible.

Looking forward to lurking around and joining in occasionally.

Hi Ryan and welcome to the Energi club!  The most important thing about this car is balancing engine usage with the battery, and making sure you keep the battery as cool as possible.  I highly recommend that you get a scangage to watch several parameters and protect your battery.

 

I also live in Franklin so if you need pointers or lessons be glad to meet up and explain everything.  It’s a great car I drive the CMAX version but it’s the same drivetrain so everything will apply.  PM me if you want to meet up sometime.
