Madevilz Posted September 26, 2019 at 03:14 PM Report Share Posted September 26, 2019 at 03:14 PM I am buying a new set of wheel for my winter tires.I have the option to add tire sensors to the wheels. I'd like to know if the Fusion has the tire sensor already integrated, or do I need to add them to my wheels? thanks

murphy Posted September 26, 2019 at 11:24 PM Report Share Posted September 26, 2019 at 11:24 PM are they required? I could live without having sensors if they are not required. They are required by Federal law because of the rollover accidents in the 1990s as a result of low tire pressure. jj2me

A 10 degree F change in air temperature changes the pressure in the tires by 1 psi. I would expect that to be more of a problem in Canada than in the US. jj2me
4cylinder Posted September 27, 2019 at 05:57 PM Report Share Posted September 27, 2019 at 05:57 PM Not installing TPMS will cause your car to throw a fault message every time you start it up. You'll still be able to drive but do you really want to live with that alarm on startup and the warning light on your dash for the entire drive? jj2me
