sdkirby Posted February 26, 2013 at 04:47 PM Report Share Posted February 26, 2013 at 04:47 PM This may be a dumb observation/question... but I recently submitted an inquiry thru Coscto's Auto program and received a quote from a dealer and he keeps referring to x-plan pricing. Does this seem right? I don't want to order one and find out after it gets here that he was misquoting me.
Scooter80 Posted February 26, 2013 at 04:56 PM Report Share Posted February 26, 2013 at 04:56 PM Hmmm, strange. I couldn't find the Energi on the Costco auto program website, but submitted one for a hybrid. When I went in to the dealer to get the price I asked about the Energi and he told me Costco wasn't doing the Energi since it was considered too low of volume. He went n to say they'd offer it at MSRP. I promptly laughed and walked out. He actually encouraged me to go to the dealer who would sell it to me for invoice + 900. Ok, will do. sdkirby Posted February 26, 2013 at 09:09 PM Author Report Share Posted February 26, 2013 at 09:09 PM Ok, I went to the dealer to put my depsosit down and he asked for my X plan pin, which I don't have. He got confused and thought the Costco program was the same as the X plan. Ugh. Now... I need to get an x-plan pin or I gotta pay MSRP. :(

You should read the pinned thread before making your request. Good luck.
rprobst Posted February 27, 2013 at 03:57 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2013 at 03:57 AM Do you know about Mustang Club of America? You can join for a year for $50 and get an X-Plan PIN as an MCA member.
sdkirby Posted February 27, 2013 at 03:09 PM Author Report Share Posted February 27, 2013 at 03:09 PM Yeah, but I am hearing that you have to be a member for 60 days before you can use a PIN with them.

I used the X-Plan on an Explorer in November 2012, one day after signing up for the MCA. Sawgrass Ford in Sunrise, FL. had no problem accepting the X-Plan for the Explorer... unfortunately I cannot say the same about the Fusion Energi. They refused to sell the Energi at X-Plan price even though that would have been the 3rd car I would have purchase from them. sdkirby Posted February 28, 2013 at 10:39 PM Author Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 at 10:39 PM Well... I got lucky. I have a friend at Ford and he got me an X-plan pin so I am at least going to get that pricing. I am hoping to get the $750 coupon in the mail before the car arrives, but also hoping the car gets here before 4/1 so I dont miss out ont he $3750 lease cash incentive. Would be nice if it all aligned. :)
