Ikenfly172 Posted May 7, 2019 at 01:53 PM Report Share Posted May 7, 2019 at 01:53 PM I bought a 2019 energy and I want a cover due to long term sitting in parking lot but the ford cover says specifically not for energy Now I assume it’s because it doesn’t have a flap for charging port access but I will not be changing while sitting in parking lot the .I have a cover on my 2015 and the 2019 is the same size so I don’t think fit is the problem Does anybody know of any reason why the cover won’t work on the energy? 4cylinder Posted May 21, 2019 at 02:40 PM Report Share Posted May 21, 2019 at 02:40 PM Ford also claimed that the trunk cargo nets for the regular Fusion wouldn't fit in the hybrid/Energi... lo and behold, they were totally wrong. Heck, they claimed a spare tire wouldn't go into the Hybrid, but the bracket and 16" donut spare actually fit there just fine (not the case for the Energi sadly). There are no dimensional differences on the exterior between the Energi and gas models. Go ahead and use the car cover for a gas model.
