Bubafett Posted February 12, 2020 at 09:19 PM Report Share Posted February 12, 2020 at 09:19 PM I got the same paper someone above got. They showed the final price but disnt have much info on when they're going to start production on them and then testing has to happen on them before they're even released. Could still be a while but at least my order is in ptjones
ptjones Posted March 1, 2020 at 11:43 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2020 at 11:43 PM Went to the Altanta Car Show yesterday and FORD had a 2020 FEH Plugin so I took some pics. FORD people said they would be available in June. The tires were Michelin Primacy A/S, not the Bridgstones Ecopia's on the Hybrid's. Looking at the Center Console there was no switches for EV only/Hybrid only or Auto. No Plugin Badge on the car and only Plugin Door.I'm not sure that this plugin had the everything the production car would have. It is a SEL, not Titanium. Bubafett Posted March 3, 2020 at 05:10 PM Report Share Posted March 3, 2020 at 05:10 PM Them saying not be ready until June is very disappointing ptjones
ptjones Posted March 7, 2020 at 09:03 PM Report Share Posted March 7, 2020 at 09:03 PM Just test drove a 2020 Escape Titanium Hybrid and only went 3.3 miles, but got 56 mpg. Hard to get use to the brakes being to touchy. The EV acceleration is very good and regen charges quickly. Needed to do a test drive to get a $50 gift card from FORD that I registered to get at the Atlanta Car Show. Frank are you getting use to monitoring the gauges yet? It's going to take some time to get use to the shifter. What kind of MPG's are you getting? Paul
jsamp Posted March 9, 2020 at 04:26 AM Report Share Posted March 9, 2020 at 04:26 AM Well that's disappointing. I thought the Energi brakes were way too touchy compared to my old '07 Escape Hybrid. If these are touchy to a C-Max hybrid driver, I'm not gonna like them.
ptjones Posted March 9, 2020 at 09:09 PM Report Share Posted March 9, 2020 at 09:09 PM It maybe they need to brake in although this should be regen braking and I notice it is pretty aggressive. It surprises me how strong the EV is and how little SOC you need like just in the 40's %. Something I just noticed about the FEH is the gas capacity of Hybrid 14.2 gal. and plugin 11.2, I'm a little disappointed in that.☹️ I guess I'm going to have to do a lot of charging to make up the difference. Bubafett Posted March 16, 2020 at 05:43 PM Report Share Posted March 16, 2020 at 05:43 PM So went into dealership today and he says it shows that the phev escape is still "clean" on the order sheets meaning havent had any hiccups so far. So fingers crossed we hear/see something soon ptjones
ptjones Posted May 8, 2020 at 10:54 PM Report Share Posted May 8, 2020 at 10:54 PM FORD.COM has 2020FEH Plugin info, I looked and I couldn't find the block heater 41H option for $95. And there was a $645 Acquisition Fee too that wasn't on my Dealers Preview order. I'm sure we are at least 2 months yet. They did have available incentives at $8,115. Then - $1400 for the X Plan I maybe looking around $31,000 Paul
Bubafett Posted May 9, 2020 at 10:49 AM Report Share Posted May 9, 2020 at 10:49 AM Funny as I remember looking at their site less than a week ago and they didn't have anything then but do now. Hopefully that's a good sign that we're getting pretty close ptjones
Bubafett Posted May 9, 2020 at 11:33 AM Report Share Posted May 9, 2020 at 11:33 AM One thing I just found interesting according to their website the offers on the plug in for incentives are only good until june 1st......does that mean we will likely see them coming in before then?
ptjones Posted May 9, 2020 at 01:32 PM Report Share Posted May 9, 2020 at 01:32 PM I think as long as you order it before the incentives expire you should be OK. I don't think it is physically possible with the plant getting ready to open. I think 2 months is the best we can hope for. ptjones Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:56 PM Report Share Posted May 11, 2020 at 01:56 PM Looks like production is starting May 18 from News Release. Paul
Bubafett Posted May 11, 2020 at 11:16 PM Report Share Posted May 11, 2020 at 11:16 PM Yea. Wonder how far away production will be for our phev. Has to be somewhat close seeing as it's on website for building and also residual rates
ptjones Posted May 12, 2020 at 01:40 PM Report Share Posted May 12, 2020 at 01:40 PM Checked with my Dealer and he said my order was listed as S0 I think which is the highest priority. Should have a build date when they get going. ? Paul
ptjones Posted June 22, 2020 at 07:06 PM Report Share Posted June 22, 2020 at 07:06 PM Just heard from my Sales Manager that My 2020 FORD Escape Hybrid Plugin is scheduled to be build Aug. 24, 2020, He thinks it will be the first one for the Atlanta Area because it was listed #1 for this area. Will probably show up first part of Sept.? Paul
ptjones Posted July 10, 2020 at 02:51 PM Report Share Posted July 10, 2020 at 02:51 PM Just saw this for the FORD KUGA(Escape Europe) Plugin 72 km/44.7 miles range EV. https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/europes-all-new-kuga-declared-fords-most-electrified-vehicle-ever/ Paul
jsamp Posted July 17, 2020 at 04:43 AM Report Share Posted July 17, 2020 at 04:43 AM So with all the latest I've been reading on the Escape PHEV, a couple of interesting notes: - 37 miles (EPA) on 14.4 kWh is pretty good. I wonder what the usable portion of the battery is? I hope they're doing a better job protecting the battery this time. - 41MPG in hybrid mode! That's as good as our Fusion Energi's - Ford seems to be dropping the "Energi" name from their PHEV lineup. C-Max and Fusion used it, but no more. So far I have not seen any name attached to the new ones except PHEV.
j8048188 Posted July 21, 2020 at 05:48 PM Report Share Posted July 21, 2020 at 05:48 PM The 2020 Fusion is sometimes referred to as the Energi, other times as the Plug in Hybrid. The inconsistency on Ford's own website and literature is a bit disconcerting.

Just talked to my Dealer and got a Vin# and will be built the week of Aug. 10th with delivery about two weeks later, around the end of the month. so about a month to go. ptjones Posted August 15, 2020 at 07:24 PM Report Share Posted August 15, 2020 at 07:24 PM The latest info I have for my FEHP is scheduled to be produced on Sept. 3 so should have by middle of the month. I contacted Dealers in SCal and they already have them, so unfair, I have had mine ordered since Jan 31 and was suppose to be built week of Aug. 10.☹️ after they came back to work. So far I have not seen any name attached to the new ones except PHEV. Addition to my post from July. I just saw an (I assume) 2020 Fusion Energi but it wasn't called Energi. It seems Ford has already dropped the Energi name. It just said "Plug-in Hybrid" on a badge on the back of the car. Nothing at all on the door (not Energi, not Hybrid, nothing). And the "Plug-in" was in such small letters that you can't even read it if you are behind the vehicle at a traffic light. It just looks like it says "Hybrid". Such a shame. /S So I guess this website should now be called fordfusionpluginhybridforum.com? /s
ptjones Posted September 16, 2020 at 04:20 PM Report Share Posted September 16, 2020 at 04:20 PM I theory my FEHP is suppose to be built tomorrow, but at this point I'am not feeling to optimistic because my FORD Sale Mgr left a message with his friend at the Escape Plant, hasn't heard back and same goes for the FORD Sale Rep.? ptjones Posted September 18, 2020 at 01:37 AM Report Share Posted September 18, 2020 at 01:37 AM Well I heard from my Sales Mgr tonight and he got a text from his friend that has worked for FORD for 30 years and works at the Escape Plant. He said "They are building some Pre production units now. Nobody can give a date when they will go into production and be shipped to Dealers. I don't know if they even sell the PP units or if they drive them to see if there are any problems with them." So my take is that the earliest we will see our FEHP is still a month out. If I hear anything new I will pass it on to you. Paul jsamp

This is really annoying, atleast it will be a 2021, Hope my 259k/8 yr. old CMAX will last that long. Maybe end up with a Hybrid instead.
