Willy662 Posted December 9, 2018 at 08:14 AM Report Share Posted December 9, 2018 at 08:14 AM Got a screaming deal on a new 2017 Energi SE this afternoon. Love the car already. Purchased for 25k before tax credit and rebates. After the $4007 fed tax credit and $1500 California rebate and my Utility $480 rebate, my net cost will be $19,013 for a new Energi! jeff_h and IA_Energi

Willy662 Posted January 11, 2019 at 07:49 AM Author Report Share Posted January 11, 2019 at 07:49 AM Never thought I'd own a Ford but I love this car! 2200 miles after about a month of driving. One long trip across the desert to Phoenix was about 1000 miles and the rest is several 125 mile trips between Ventura and Bakersfield and some in town driving on both ends. The quiet while driving in EV is so satisfying. The ride, both on the highway and around town feels like a much larger car (in a good way). Mileage is about what's advertised. Around 43mpg on rhe long trip with no charging. Around 45 or so in town in hybrid mode. Of course everything gets inflated with the charging. I haven't reset trip1 since buying the car and it's showing right around 50mpg overall. That's with charging up probably 10 or 15 times so far. Couldn't be happier. Looking forward to many years with this car. Davidoo
jsamp Posted January 14, 2019 at 09:52 PM Report Share Posted January 14, 2019 at 09:52 PM That's a screaming deal. EV driving is quite addicting, eh? Treat it well and the car will last you a long time. I'm at 63k now and only ever had a couple of minor issues.
Willy662 Posted January 15, 2019 at 05:25 AM Author Report Share Posted January 15, 2019 at 05:25 AM Yes. Addiction is a great way to describe it. My wife is puzzled and somewhat amused. I have other cars but this is the one that I prefer to drive now. Good to hear you're at 63K with little trouble. I'm thinking about buying the extended warranty out to 8 years just because of all of the tech.

Do you have the Monroney sticker (window sticker) for the car. If not the dealer should be able to get you a copy. The warranties are listed on the sticker. RickEnergi Posted January 15, 2019 at 04:04 PM Report Share Posted January 15, 2019 at 04:04 PM It's also in the manuals in your glovebox.
Willy662 Posted January 16, 2019 at 08:55 AM Author Report Share Posted January 16, 2019 at 08:55 AM Yeah. It's a California car so the I think the drivetrain warranty is 10 years or 150k or something like that. I'm just a little worried about all of the other stuff that can go wrong. It is a Ford after all! jsamp
murphy Posted January 16, 2019 at 10:56 AM Report Share Posted January 16, 2019 at 10:56 AM My 2013 Energi will be 6 years old in April. The only time it has been back to the dealer is for recalls and the required state safety and emissions inspections and the replacement of the light display on the left front fender because one of the four segments burned out.
