cegarbage Posted March 31, 2018 at 05:10 AM Report Share Posted March 31, 2018 at 05:10 AM I have a 2015 FFE. Over the last few months, my clock falls behind 10 minutes. I reset it, and within a few days it goes back to 10 minutes behind. I can see it progressively occur as i check the time when i get in and out of the car. Anyone experience the issue? Anyone experience the issue? Are you getting low 12 volt battery warnings? It sounds like the car is completely shutting down to avoid a dead 12 volt battery. Have the battery load tested. openair Posted April 3, 2018 at 09:52 PM Report Share Posted April 3, 2018 at 09:52 PM (edited) The 12v battery warnings are useless. I have various weird issues such as the clock repeatedly slow, the vehicle using tomorrow's go times instead of today's and poor fuel economy that were resolved by replacing the 12v battery while there were no warnings and the 12v passed a cold cranking test. My 12v was once replaced under warranty without a 12v low warning from the vehicle. Fat Fusion Posted April 4, 2018 at 02:48 PM Report Share Posted April 4, 2018 at 02:48 PM Mines been changing to 10 minutes ahead lately. I've got a nice, newer Optima in there with plenty of voltage too.
cegarbage Posted April 9, 2018 at 03:31 AM Author Report Share Posted April 9, 2018 at 03:31 AM In the 10 days since I posted this, I let it continue and now I'm up to 20. My app doesn't work today, unsure if it's a time sync issue. If it's a battery issues, Is the standard battery covered by the 3/36 or 5/50 part of the warranty? I've gotten no error messages on my dashboard.
cegarbage Posted May 7, 2018 at 03:24 PM Author Report Share Posted May 7, 2018 at 03:24 PM Once I reset the circuit breaker to get the ford app working two weeks ago, the clock has been able to retain its time without a problem.
