I have driven 12,000 miles in the last 8 months. I'm averaging about 57MPG a tank, so I'm guessing I've driven about 9,000 gas miles.My oil change indicator says 33%. So, if it hasn't been a year yet, and the oil change is still above 5% or so, is there a need to change the oil even if I go above 10,000 miles? Is the oil change indicator percent gauge smart enough to understand the difference between electric and non electric usage?
