abwdvm Posted October 21, 2017 at 10:34 PM Report Share Posted October 21, 2017 at 10:34 PM Looking ahead to the first oil change. Having a hard time finding the reccomended Motorcraft SAE 0W-20 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil XO-0W20-QSP. Anyone have a source? PS Wife says just take it in to the dealer for an oil change, that's not my style.

murphy Posted October 22, 2017 at 10:06 AM Report Share Posted October 22, 2017 at 10:06 AM https://www.ebay.com/itm/XO0W20QSP-MOTORCRAFT-SAE-0W-20-API-GF-5-Ford-case-of-12-quarts-/201778177245 My 2013 Fusion Energi specifies 5W-20 oil. I am not aware of any change to the engine since then. I never saw anyone give a good reason for the switch from 5W-20 to 0W-20.

jsamp Posted October 24, 2017 at 09:14 PM Report Share Posted October 24, 2017 at 09:14 PM Amsoil has both the 0W-20 and the 5W20 in full synthetic. Go online and find your local Amsoil Dealer.I highly recommend it and it'll probably cost less than the Motorcraft stuff from Ford.
Russael Posted October 24, 2017 at 09:20 PM Report Share Posted October 24, 2017 at 09:20 PM I personally use Mobil 1 Extended Performance full synthetic with their oil filter. Been using it in the truck for years (prior to that was Valvoline full synthetic) and have put that in the car. Since the car is likely to go 2 years between oil changes, figured I'd get an oil that will go at least a year. If you get it in the 5 quart jug, it isn't a bad deal.
