wheeln69 Posted October 7, 2017 at 07:41 PM Report Share Posted October 7, 2017 at 07:41 PM Hi all, I just bought a used '14 Fusion Titanium Energi. The prior owner had put the car driving mode in Auot and I wasn't shown how to get it out of that mode to where I can switch from EV back to hybrid and so forth. Can anyone help me? As usual, once you drive off the lot, you can never get the salesperson to return your call. Thanks in advance... Keith
murphy Posted October 7, 2017 at 07:57 PM Report Share Posted October 7, 2017 at 07:57 PM Look on the passenger side of the console for a row of up to three buttons. In my 2013 the one closest to the front of the car cycles between Auto, EV Only, and EV Later. The next one opens the fuel door and if the car is equipped the third one activates automatic parallel parking.
muzicman61 Posted October 8, 2017 at 03:29 PM Report Share Posted October 8, 2017 at 03:29 PM Interesting the design changes over the years. My 2017 Titanium has 4 buttons on the center console. The front left is EV mode. The back left is the Park Assist (Parallel and Perpendicular). The front right is for Grade Assist. and the back right is to disable/enable the Parking Sensor Assist. My fuel door button is on the drivers door down by the speaker.
murphy Posted October 8, 2017 at 07:29 PM Report Share Posted October 8, 2017 at 07:29 PM The original 2013 design was poor. Passengers were accidentally opening the fuel door. Changing the mode is not something that should be closer to the passenger than the driver.
