Taylorjd Posted March 1, 2013 at 12:47 AM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 12:47 AM Along those same lines as PluggedIn, I have two I am watching headed for MD/VA VIN 3FA6P0SU4DR240766 (Built 02/07/2013) and VIN 3FA6P0SU6DR246813 (Built 02/07/2013) and again, only if you or anyone has time or come across it. I am mostly interested in the 3FA6P0SU4DR240766, that comes in soon, I want it!
jberger Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:05 AM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:05 AM Looks like my order went from "sent offsite" to "Returned from Offsite" today. I guess that means it's inline for a rail car. Good news! ETA still states TBD, which I assume will remain that way until it's on a rail car. Taylorjd Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:11 AM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:11 AM (edited) Thanks Jeff, if those two are in transit I can use them in my argument.Sure. Note: those two are dealer stock. I told one of the dealers to let me know if it comes in (3FA6P0SU6DR246813), I would be interested. I told the other (3FA6P0SU4DR240766) to hold it for me, because if it gets here before my rebates expire, I WANT IT! These are both Fusion Energi Titaniums headed for MD/VA (dealers are in both states). Edited March 1, 2013 at 01:14 AM by Taylorjd
murphy Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:13 AM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:13 AM I suspect that they are not going to ship a car until they have enough cars going to the same area to fill a rail car.
pluggedin Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:19 AM Author Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:19 AM I suspect that they are not going to ship a car until they have enough cars going to the same area to fill a rail car.Perhaps, but if the cars are going north or west I am pretty sure they will have to go through Tucson and Phoenix. However, I doubt they would drop a rail car in Phoenix for one car and then pick the rail car up later. My car will have to go to Phoenix and then trucked back to Tucson by a car hauler. I will be able to smell the car when it goes through here on its way to Phoenix.
jberger Posted March 1, 2013 at 02:29 AM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 02:29 AM jberger, I hate to ask you for help here because I know you are busy and you are not providing a service but I could really use it. My car was produced on 2/7/13, VIN 3FA6P0SU2DR242421, and it is still in Mexico "awaiting shipment-off site". I called my dealer and they took and day and a half to check and called to say everything is going smoothly and no other cars are being shipped before mine that were produced after mine (a claim I made based on posts here). However, according to ETIS EnergiManta's car, VIN 3FA6P0SU4DR252450, was produced on 2/21/13 and apm's car, VIN 3FA6P0SUXDR246667, was produced on 2/13/13 and both of those you are saying are "In Transit". Does that mean they have left the factory and are on a train headed for the dealer, for sure? If your answer is yes, is it possible for you to give me another VIN or two that were produced after my car and are "In Transit". My salesman is a really straight shooter and has been on the money in everything else along this arduous journey but if he is being fed a line by his Management or Ford Factory Rep I need to give him some hard facts and ammunition to get me the truth as to why my car is not on a train. The ETA they gave me was 3/10/13. If the car doesn't get on a train soon that ain't going to happen. My concern is that if the car is "off site" it is out of sight, out of mind and I need to get that changed somehow. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. What dealership is it going to? I can pull up any Dealer on the locator and see in plant, transit and stock inventory.

pluggedin Posted March 1, 2013 at 03:32 AM Author Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 03:32 AM I see 2 "in plant" VIN #DR242421 and DR254529.DR242421 is mine. That is better, I think, than off site. My dealer checked on the car last Friday and said it was still awaiting shipment. No real word today other than things are proceeding normally and the car was still awaiting shipment. Cyberdman reported the car was "awaiting shipment-off site at Allied Systems" on 2/14/13. Apparently, the car has been moved back "in plant" between then and now. That's a good thing, right? Do they need a full rail car going to Phoenix before they will load the two "in plant" cars onto a rail car?

pluggedin Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:32 PM Author Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 01:32 PM You should be able to get all of your information from your dealer/salesperson; ask them for a Vehicle Visibility Report. If that fails, you can as a Ford plant employee, named cyberdman, on the Blue Oval Forum, to check on your car for you. You will have to register for the site and READ THE RULES before posting and be nice because cyberdman is doing this out of the goodness of his heart to help all of us, don't mess it up. Go here: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/forum/80-vehicle-locator-by-ford-employees/. By now, you should have at least a VIN# and a build week. Good luck. jberger Posted March 1, 2013 at 07:20 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 at 07:20 PM jberger, I am going to bump these questions again so they don't get lost in the shuffle this morning. I am leaving for the weekend, at around noon, and want to get with my salesman before I leave to give him my updated information. Thanks, again, for your help. I assume Ford won't have any problem "loading" a rail car right now. So a direct answer would be yes, they would have to fill the rail first. I just bought this car, since my special order looked like it was never going to get scheduled. Now the only question is, when will this one arrive? Thanks! jberger Posted March 2, 2013 at 02:29 AM Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 at 02:29 AM Hey, jberger, any info you can give me is most welcome! I just bought this car, since my special order looked like it was never going to get scheduled. Now the only question is, when will this one arrive? Thanks! It is "in plant" status. There really is no way for me to know more. The Dealership could look at vehicle visibility and tell you more.
