Looking through my vehicle locator, I am seeing Fusion Energi Ti's shipping now.  Very not many though, but its a good sign.  There are hundreds and hundreds showing in plant, and I counted about 50 in transit.

How can you tell? Is that something us mere mortals can figure out? Can you tell what state they are going too? And is there a way to tell if a VIN # is on the move (I have been watching two that have been built)?

Dealer said they only have the VIN. No build date yet. Not sure if that's possible, thinking he's taking the easy way out.

I don't have a sticker yet either.

On my SE Hybrid I got the VIN 4 weeks before the build date, so the dealer may not have a build date but may have a estimated week for build... if they don't, then they probably will when the next week's scheduling is done.... let's hope!  And when I got the build week that was 4 weeks in the future, I couldn't view the window sticker for 3-1/2 weeks and finally could see it on the Friday night before the build week.

Thank you jberger, any info like this is invaluable to the rest of us. I'm glad you are posting on this site. 50 Ti Energi's is not many cars but its a good start and it may mean that next week will show a much larger number of them on a rail car. Please let one of them be mine.

When they ship, the status changes from "in plant" to "in transit" which means it's on a rail car.  I cannot search by VIN, only by vehicle model and options and I can search all 3000 dealers.  It's easier said than done though, takes some time clicking through all the pages and pages.

Well THANK YOU for searching and sharing with us! The more we know the better I feel!!!!

No problem.  I did a little more research and it seems Ford is updating the locator system a lot today.  I show 38 shipped so far nationwide.  The majority to So Cal (obviously) and several to my region (NW) So this is good news.  They are definitely shipping now!

Very Cool!!!! I am tying to watch two, one going the Sheehy Ford MD/VA Dealer # F27020 VIN 3FA6P0SU4DR240766 built 02/07 and one I think is Ted Britt Ford VIN 3FA6P0SU6DR246813 built 02/14. If one of these gets here before mine is built (Mar 18), I want to jump on it. :)

So if you see Maryland in your looking, Please let me know :)

Hi jberger,

Any way to find out if any of the Fusion Energi Ti's in transit are headed for South Florida?

I'm interested in one going to Metro Ford (Loaded Black VIN 3FA6P0SU3DR240595) and one headed to Pompano Ford (Loaded Sterling Siver VIN 3FA6P0SU2DR252589).

Thanks,

APM

#595 is showing "in plant"  #589 is not showing, which means they either hid it, or its not even built yet.

Does anyone know what the "IP-" in front of many stock numbers is? Seems like those have disappeared from the Ford inventory search, but are still in the dealer inventory searches. Where I was seeing 39 Energies, I see 17 now.

That's just how Ford labels them.  You should see IP-order# then body code.  For instance a Fusion Energi Ti would be: IP-xxxxP0L, the order # is 4 digits.  When it arrives at the dealer, then the dealer assigns their own stock # and the IP# will go away.

I got a call today from the dealer.  They said it looks like I have a delivery date of 3/7!  They mentioned something about Texas so it is either on way to Texas or it is in Texas.  They weren't sure.

This is great news and I am really happy for you EneriManta. But now I am green :superhero: with envy. I'm only about 250 miles from my car, in Mexico, but so far as I know it has not shipped yet.

Hi jberger,

Sorry to bother you again... I was checking the Ford website dealer inventory this morning and I noticed that one of the Fusion Energi's coming to Metro Ford in Miami, FL. it's not showing "Dealer Orderer" any more. Does this mean that the vehicle is at the dealer? or could it just mean that it is in transit to the dealer?

The VIN in question is 3FA6P0SUXDR246667 (White Platinum Titanium). Could you please check the status on this one? There are a couple more without the "Dealer Ordered' designation showing for South Floirda, one going to Pompano Ford and another to Wayne Akers (2 Titaniums and 1 SE total).

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

APM

I noticed the same thing on a White Platinum here in Texas and when I called the dealer, they showed it was "In Transit".  I believe when the "Dealer Ordered" flag goes away, Ford has officially released the vehicle to the delaership although it still has another week or two to get there.

jberger, I hate to ask you for help here because I know you are busy and you are not providing a service but I could really use it.

My car was produced on 2/7/13, VIN 3FA6P0SU2DR242421, and it is still in Mexico "awaiting shipment-off site". I called my dealer and they took and day and a half to check and called to say everything is going smoothly and no other cars are being shipped before mine that were produced after mine (a claim I made based on posts here).

However, according to ETIS EnergiManta's car, VIN  3FA6P0SU4DR252450, was produced on 2/21/13 and apm's car, VIN 3FA6P0SUXDR246667, was produced on 2/13/13 and both of those you are saying are "In Transit". Does that mean they have left the factory and are on a train headed for the dealer, for sure? If your answer is yes, is it possible for you to give me another VIN or two that were produced after my car and are "In Transit".

My salesman is a really straight shooter and has been on the money in everything else along this arduous journey but if he is being fed a line by his Management or Ford Factory Rep I need to give him some hard facts and ammunition to get me the truth as to why my car is not on a train.

The ETA they gave me was 3/10/13. If the car doesn't get on a train soon that ain't going to happen. My concern is that if the car is "off site" it is out of sight, out of mind and I need to get that changed somehow. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
