Thanks!

So, you are right I am pretty limited and overwhelmed with all of the different features of this car. Here are some initial thoughts:

The climate control makes a HUGE difference in the range of the battery. I thought it was the highway from my test drive, but I took the highway home (albeit slower -- kept it under 62 (figured Ford picked that number for a reason)) and seemed to do much better.

If you are going to merge into the highway and you think you might need some acceleration then do yourself a favor and select the hybrid mode before you get on the ramp -- still a lag but at least when the engine kicks in you will feel like the car has a little scoot. This car is about efficiency not acceleration, especially when compared to my Acura TL.  When I tried to merge in EV only mode you had a steady gain in speed, but I would call it moderate at best. Nothing I am concerned with, just something I will need to get use to.

Driving home in the dark I got to see the auto high beams work -- pretty cool.

I still don't trust the adaptive cruise yet... but did get that to work a few times and think I am really going to like it. I am driving with 3 bars, but might switch that to 4 until I learn to trust it a little more. I kept hitting the brakes.

There are so many things in the car to mess with I was pretty distracted. Even with studying the forums and watching all the videos there is a lot to set up and learn, so I will probably have many more thoughts later. Finally got the my ford mobile app to work this morning -- dealer tried to set it up but again some of the pain of going first it did not go so well. I will post that experience and tips in the right place in the forum.

Ha! I should have paid more attention to the charging times.  I am pretty sure I plugged it in around 9:30p and around 1am the web was telling it would finish at  around 2:45a I think. I think its like your phone. Plug it in at night and it will be ready by morning. A L2 charger really is not necessary, but getting one anyway.

Very excited that you can get the range that was quoted on the car with a full charge. Not sure what is going to happen in the summer time, because I will be running the air conditioner.

Also surprised by how well it did on mpge. I thought by the sticker we were suppose to do around 100, 30% higher is a very nice surprise.

Oh, another interesting note. It seems my car was selected for additional quality control, so when I first test drove it there was 36 miles on the odometer (27 from the factory according to the sticker that was in the window). I also have the buttons for the sunroof etc vs the touch areas for those controls. Think I like them a little better.

If anyone has any questions, let me know.

So, 27 miles at the factory, eh? Hit the eject button on the CD player and make sure there is no Mariachi cd in there. If it's like my car, a Hermosillo employee was probably driving the car around while quality checking the sound system, lol.

The 133.6 mpge you got is fantastic (was that all down hill?), as has been said, but your overall will drop once you exceed your 21 mile limit and you drive the car as a hybrid so your lifetime miles will get closer to the rated 100 mpge. Keep us posted on that too.

Not downhill, but pretty optimal conditions and I was working it for range. Speed limit was 65 and I was doing 59 kinda thing. When I hit the secondary roads there was no traffic and kept it around 55 until the last 5 miles where I was doing 45. Got a few perfect brake regen scores and one as bad as 84 %. And of course I was a bit cold with the heater off.

At this rate it should be here early!

It's great to them showing up on Dealer lots finally, Looks like Ford has really delivered on the distribution of Energi's.  Hopefully hey have learned by the screw ups on the job #1 Hybrids.

Really appreciate your efforts since this must be an incredible time sink.

Ordered my loaded SE on 2/9 and VIN came on 2/28.

VIN = 3FA6P0PU4DR282492.

Would love to know how soon it might be here.

Thanks

I can't see ETA's of other dealers.  Once it is on a released and in transit, you need to get the ETTX rail # from your dealer.

There is a thread somewhere with the info but you call 1-800-235-2352, say "location", then "ETTX", then your rail id # (6 digits usually), the say "done".  And it will give you the update.

In checking ETIS your car is not yet built. There is no window sticker yet either. So I would say you are looking at an April/May ETA.

It's encouraging that you got a VIN so quickly though.

Its funny you mentioned that.  I too had the sticker with the quality control test.  They put 27 miles on it, and I got it w/ 32.  Good to know they are going the extra mile on the first batch.  Mine has been driving like a champ.  Surprised to see the LED lock indicators on each door and the auto dimming driver side mirror.

The information came from a combo of my salesman and this forum. Most all of the info, down to the VIN came from my salesman. Ask yours for a copy of their order and then keep asking for a Vehicle Visibility Report each week. Then read this forum to find out how to look up your window sticker and when the car was built.

Question for all of you.  If you have VIN number and/or window sticker info, is there a way (like the ETIS site tracks build dates) to track the rail car shipping?  My custom ordered Energi is still around a month out but unsold ones are popping up all over SoCal.  I am spending my entire day every day calling all of the dealerships and having them track their incoming cars for me.  It would be much easier if I could look up what's coming and when it'll arrive myself.  Thanks!

There is a way to do that, posted on the Blue Oval Forum, but you need the rail car info first.
