larryg Posted June 28, 2017 at 03:04 PM Report Share Posted June 28, 2017 at 03:04 PM The audio on my wife's 2017 Energi just stopped working, it show's OFF on the screen and will not turn on when the on/off button is pushed. Any ideas where to look to fix this? She does have a appointment with the dealer for Friday, just trying to save her the visit. Also the MFM is not working, I remember reading that a fuse (10 or 11) can be pulled to reset, is this correct? Thanks
Russael Posted June 28, 2017 at 05:04 PM Report Share Posted June 28, 2017 at 05:04 PM Considering you have multiple issues, I'd do a "full reboot" of the car, and you do this by removing the negative battery terminal from the 12v battery in your trunk for a couple of minutes. It is behind a carpeted door on the drivers side of the trunk. It also saves you from bending and folding yourself to get to the fusebox. larryg

larryg Posted June 28, 2017 at 08:52 PM Author Report Share Posted June 28, 2017 at 08:52 PM Thanks, that did it, all is working including MFM witch hasn't worked since May 5th.. I thought by disconnecting the negative cable, it would wipeout all the info. stored on the car but it didn't. I guess the small wires connected to the neg. cable is for saving stored info.. Russael Posted June 29, 2017 at 02:18 AM Report Share Posted June 29, 2017 at 02:18 AM About the only thing that gets lost are the EV+ navigation destination points and the engine parameters (which it will re-learn). Everything in the MyFord Touch system (or in your case, Sync 3) should stick except for the clock.
