dlingo Posted June 15, 2017 at 05:36 AM Report Share Posted June 15, 2017 at 05:36 AM Plugged my car in after not charging it for a while. The blue ring flashes around but then goes out. An hour later, the display shows no charge and the ring is not lit at all. Did not charging my battery ruin it?
murphy Posted June 15, 2017 at 10:26 AM Report Share Posted June 15, 2017 at 10:26 AM If the HVB was ruined you wouldn't be able to start the car since there is only one battery and the HVB is used to start the engine. Make sure that the car is set to charge now and not on a delayed schedule.
Timewellspent Posted June 16, 2017 at 03:12 AM Report Share Posted June 16, 2017 at 03:12 AM What murphy said. You most likely have the car on value charge. Set it to default and make sure that is charge now and no times listed.
jj2me Posted June 18, 2017 at 12:14 AM Report Share Posted June 18, 2017 at 12:14 AM If you're charging via the OEM EVSE or still have it, the 120V convenience cord has three lights which give 3 x 3 = 9 conditions, which might help diagnose the problem--see pages 165 - 166 in the PDF owner's manual. Batuc1 Posted September 21, 2017 at 02:01 PM Report Share Posted September 21, 2017 at 02:01 PM When I originally reported this problem I did not have bumper to bumper coverage. I contacted the dealer and then the corporate office. I was very angry and made it clear this is definitely a designer/engineer flaw. I told them that I will report this to all the regulatory agencies because it was stupid that a part of a car is so frail! The cost to repair it was cut in half , ordered/directed by the corporate office. Hope this helps. I know how frustrated this is. I hope you are aware that the car can completely die if not use for a week or more. And the extra key is inside the remote control.
