Gaps Posted June 13, 2017 at 06:10 AM Report Share Posted June 13, 2017 at 06:10 AM Hello Everyone, I am most likely going to purchase a 2014 FFET from the dealership tomorrow. It has 48,026 miles and the dealership is asking $18,900. A friend of mine had the car for a few years and just traded it in not knowing that I wanted to buy it from him. There are a few reasons I really want this car: #1 - It will come with the HOV/Carpool license plate here in AZ; if it wasn't for this I would not be buying the car. 2# - We know 75% of the history with the car since our friend drove it and babied it for the last few years. BUT, what should I be looking for to avoid any potential trouble? I have never had an electric vehicle/hybrid, is there anything about the batteries that I should look for before I buy it? What is the warranty from Ford and will it still be valid? Is there any reason to stay away from the 2014 FFET? I have read everything online and watched countless video reviews and I can't really find people saying to avoid them. From what I can tell is they seem like really great cars, especially if you can get access to the HOV/Carpool lane! Thanks for any advice, I appreciate it! murphy Posted June 13, 2017 at 11:17 AM Report Share Posted June 13, 2017 at 11:17 AM The bumper to bumper warranty from Ford is 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Unless a previous owner purchased an ESP warranty for it that is long gone. The unique electric drive components have an 8 year / 100,000 mile warranty. It is a great car. There are no HOV/carpool lanes where I live.
