Confusing numbers for mileage

Checking on My Ford I can see my results, it looks like I drove 3 miles and used no fuel or electric.

It must be a mistake.

That happens now and then -- we've seen various values shown as 0 when the normal shutdown process was interrupted... such as driver shuts down and realizes he/she needs to start right back up for some reason (roll windows up and someone has already opened a door, need to move another couple feet, etc) and that slight interruption gets in the way of the normal shutdown logging (at least is what it seems like).  We've also seen strange behavior when the driver's door was opened before the car was shut down - not always but sometimes quirky things happen.

This means you generated as much energy through brake regen as you used to get the vehicle up to speed.  It's not always an error.  For instance, if you start rolling from the top of a hill, and end up at the bottom of the hill 3 miles down the road, you will use up no energy to go 3 miles since the engine won't kick on and you are using brake regen to keep the car from running away.
