The specs for mine say 2013 through 2017 and all fusions for those years. After some digging, I have found many places (ford dealer websites mostly) show the same stock numbers fit 2013 through 2016 only. My question is this- Has anyone been able to find and install a molded type splash guard for their 2017 energi? The part numbers I am working with are - DS7Z-16A550-AA Front Fusion DS7Z-16A550-CA Rear Fusion DS7J-X16A262-AAW Front Mondeo DS7J-A28370-AAW Rear Mondeo Thank you in advance for responses. A visit to the dealer cleared things up. The OEM guards do fit the 2017 but had to use different mounting hardware and install methods. Does the different mounting hardware which you mention come with the splash guards or did you have to buy those separate? Also, what are the different install instructions that you also mention. Also, do you need to drill any holes to install the splash guards. I've been looking at these for awhile and nobody at the dealership knows if I have to drill holes to install the splash guards. If you buy the splash guards from a Ford dealership, they will be the right part numbers as listed above. The dealer's guards will have all the hardware and instruction sheet as well. The hardware consists of a package of screws and clips. In the rear for example, the push pin center pin is removed and the screws go through the splash guards and into the base where the pin itself was removed. One of the clips holds the tab of the guard onto the fender liner on the inside. Since I didn't buy the guards from a Ford dealer, the hardware was not included. I didn't like how they fit when reusing the push pin bases and my provided screws. So, I opted to remove the entire push pin, base and all. Next, I installed some threaded inserts (the Marson tool I have calls these Nutzerts) I used 8/32 size and the factory holes in the plastic fender (where the push pins were removed) were slightly over 1/4 inch in diameter. I next used some 8/32 x 1 inch screws into the guards and then into the threaded inserts. There is a bottom tab in the guard that lines up perfectly with the forward screw that holds on the black plastic piece that fits up behind the rear fender liner, so the original screw is reused there. They fit perfectly now and really help to keep the junk off of the rear lower fender. I will post some pictures soon of the final install. Plus, I will post how I installed the front guards (they fit on much easier) Cheers! Oh, forgot to answer your questions about drilling holes. I added one hole on the inside where the tab mentioned above would have been held on by the above mentioned clip. Since I didn't get the Ford dealership guards, I opted to just add another nutzert on the inside and another 8/32 screw. So to get right to it, no drilling is necessary if you get the OEM guards from the Ford dealer and use the included hardware. Not sure of the fit though like mentioned above. You mentioned in your first post that you bought splash guards, but not from the dealer. So, you bought the factory splash guards, but not from the dealer? Is that why the hardware wasn't included?
