Good day all, just bought the new Fusion Energi Platinum 2017. What a car, my last car was a Fusion hybrid. I'm discovering new things every day, but this morning I couldn't get it to switch to EV

. The battery showed full charge, but I could access EV

. It was roughly -15. Would the temperature had anything to do with that

It is possible.  Batteries are very inefficient at low temperatures.  It doesn't hurt them, they just don't work.  Mine has to get to 70 degrees F before it works normally.  If you also had the heat on that would also force the engine to come on.

Spring through fall I drive mostly on the battery.  In the winter I can't avoid the engine.
