It can use the 32 amp EVSE but will not go above 16 amps.I use a 40 amp EVSE because my other car needs it. Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). The charger is in the car. Any changes for the 2017 model.There have been no indications of any changes to the battery design since it was introduced in 2013. Mine charges in 2 hours at 240 volts.
