Pg3ibew Posted January 2, 2017 at 01:22 AM Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 01:22 AM (edited) Could someone please explain what is going on with the MYFORDMOBILE app and website? These things happen, and happen frequently, with BOTH the app and website: I hit the LOCK DOOR and the doors lock but it says FAILEDSame for UNLOCK, START.... The last few times My car is fully charged, I have not gotten the text that the car was fully charged. The website does NOT show all of my trips. It is almost like it picks and chooses which trips to show me. Edited January 2, 2017 at 11:54 AM by murphy language
murphy Posted January 2, 2017 at 12:00 PM Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 12:00 PM Nobody knows what is going on. My 2013 was fine until the TCM was upgraded to a 3G version from a 2G version. That was necessary because as of 12/31/16 AT&T 2G service no longer exists. I also have complete trips missing since the upgrade.
Pg3ibew Posted January 2, 2017 at 01:26 PM Author Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 01:26 PM Murph, I see you edited my words. Lol. I thought the $% was enough. Lol. Anyway, back to the app and website. I am not the most adept at the web. But who does Ford use as IT to work on these things? They seem so user UNFRIENDLY. Ford should call an internet idiot like myself. And ask our opinions. Lol
Russael Posted January 2, 2017 at 02:13 PM Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 02:13 PM I have not yet had my modem upgraded... but interestingly, it still works (just checked it). For now.
Pg3ibew Posted January 2, 2017 at 02:39 PM Author Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 02:39 PM I have not yet had my modem upgraded... but interestingly, it still works (just checked it). For now.The problem I have is that it works now. Didnt work yesterday. Worked a week ago. Might not work tomorrow. May work in 4 days. Today, the text message that the car is charged doesnt work. Tomorrow the trip log works. Last week, the GO TIMES worked SOMEWHAT. The bottome line is, you get something different everytime you log on. jeff_h Posted January 2, 2017 at 03:49 PM Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 03:49 PM (edited) I have not yet had my modem upgraded... but interestingly, it still works (just checked it). For now. I had it replaced last week, everything is fine (can set/change Go Times and do remote commands) except for the estimated miles stuck at 15 no matter what charge level. murphy Posted January 2, 2017 at 04:24 PM Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 04:24 PM I have not yet had my modem upgraded... but interestingly, it still works (just checked it). For now.It is very possible AT&T had some laggards that convinced them to delay the shutdown. Since you are still on the old modem are you seeing any of the problems that the upgraders, like me, are seeing. Originally the mileage estimate overlaid on the battery on the website stayed at the value it had when the old modem was removed. It eventually started working.Whole trips missing from the website. The really strange one was a three segment trip of 10.5 miles, 10.2 miles, and 0.3 miles. Only the 0.3 mile segment was recorded. With the old modem anything less than 1.5 miles was discarded. For the first time ever I got a message in the app saying that my car was "sleeping" and I would have to physically access the car to wake it up. I had been away for a week and the 12 volt battery was down to 15% which is not unexpected.
Boston_Pilot Posted January 2, 2017 at 08:29 PM Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 at 08:29 PM 2017 (So no modem issues) neither App nor Website works for me. From what I can see from numerous forums/FB pages it's definitely a Ford issue. Not so much a year issue. My car is 2 weeks old, as mentioned.....neither works, at all. Pg3ibew, Boston_Piolet, and jeff_h, If you're comfortable with it, pull Fuse #10 which is located under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. Be sure to replace the fuse in the proper spot after it's pulled. Once the fuse is plugged back in, try setting up the Go Times or remote command, etc. If you're still running into issues, PM your first and last name, email address, best contact number, and VIN. I need to get an appointment set up with the stealership to do the modem swap at some point though.
