meyersnole Posted December 5, 2016 at 05:41 PM Report Share Posted December 5, 2016 at 05:41 PM Not sure what this means for the Model E. Author seems to be implying that Ford is focusing on start-stop technology but is unable to meet the goals under that strategy. Will be interesting to see what happens with the Bolt, but with cheap gas for the foreseeablee future it will be a tougher sell. http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1107598_ford-will-ask-trump-to-cut-fuel-economy-rules-ceo-says-no-demand-for-hybrid-electric-cars?fbfanpage
Russael Posted December 5, 2016 at 05:46 PM Report Share Posted December 5, 2016 at 05:46 PM I still think the "low demand" stems from dealerships who have no interest in selling them, or actively talk customers away from them. "I'd like to buy a hybrid!" "You don't want to buy a hybrid." "I don't want to buy a hybrid." "You want this Ford Explorer Limited." "I want this Ford Explorer Limited." "Sign here." "I will sign here." meyersnole and 4cylinder
