dnorris78 Posted November 22, 2016 at 01:19 AM Report Share Posted November 22, 2016 at 01:19 AM After my 2013 FFE SE was totaled I purchased a new 2017 FFE Titanium. I added to My Ford Mobile. The functions work well and quicker than the old 2013 car. However the car image is a fuzzy pic of a C-Max and the wrong color. There is no place to change the car color, either in the app or on the website. Also I cannot change the name of the car. I misspelled a name and want to correct it. Does anyone else have this issue? I have a case in the with the MFM support line but they have not responded.
murphy Posted November 22, 2016 at 10:51 AM Report Share Posted November 22, 2016 at 10:51 AM Delete the car and then add it back using the website, not the app. You get one chance to select the color. Once the color is set the option is hidden.
dnorris78 Posted November 22, 2016 at 12:04 PM Author Report Share Posted November 22, 2016 at 12:04 PM I deleted the vehicle and added back. The color selection area is missing.
Timewellspent Posted November 23, 2016 at 06:16 PM Report Share Posted November 23, 2016 at 06:16 PM From the app, If I go into Vehicle Management, My car shows there and if I click it, It shows the name of the car and color. I can click the color and it brings up the option to change it. If you are showing the wrong car, is your VIN entered correctly?
dnorris78 Posted November 23, 2016 at 07:19 PM Author Report Share Posted November 23, 2016 at 07:19 PM VIN is entered correctly. I can use the mobile app fine to remote start the car. The default C-MAX fuzzy image is still there and I cannot change the color. That option is entirely missing. If Ford is monitoring ... you have a "not so happy" customer, after spending as much as I did on a new 2017 model.
Timewellspent Posted November 23, 2016 at 07:51 PM Report Share Posted November 23, 2016 at 07:51 PM Did you ever get the 2nd confirmation in the car. With that default fuzzy pic, it makes me think you haven't?
dnorris78 Posted November 24, 2016 at 01:19 AM Author Report Share Posted November 24, 2016 at 01:19 AM Yes the 2nd confirmation occurred successfully. Still have the fuzzy C-Max car icon and the color section is missing on the MFM Website and app both.
woeo Posted December 5, 2016 at 02:52 AM Report Share Posted December 5, 2016 at 02:52 AM I have wrong image for my fusion energi 2017. Correct color though. That might be a coincidence. Is yours white like mine?
cwstnsko Posted December 7, 2016 at 04:27 PM Report Share Posted December 7, 2016 at 04:27 PM This has been an issue every year when the new model year comes out. For some reason, Ford is slow to update the validation table that tells the system which colors are valid for the new model year. Until they update the table, you get stuck with the fuzzy avatar and cannot select a color. There used to be a hack to get to work by manipulating some browser parameters, but I think that stopped working. I know I had the issue with my 2014 Focus Electric that I leased in April of 2014, and I believe I had the problem again when I leased my 2015 C-Max Energi in May of 2015. Eventually they get around to adding the entries for the new model year to the table, then everything starts to work like people with older cars describe it. TX NRG Posted December 8, 2016 at 05:15 AM Report Share Posted December 8, 2016 at 05:15 AM Not sure this will fix your issues but the iPhone app v3.1.21 from Dec 6th lists "Updated 2017 Vehicle Images and Other minor bug fixes". jeff_h
