dlb92 Posted October 22, 2016 at 01:56 AM Report Share Posted October 22, 2016 at 01:56 AM I just noticed tonight the last quadrant of my LED charging ring has burnt out again. I'm not going to pay $100 (deductible) to have them fix it. I guess the LED light lasts about as long as the HV battery before significant degradation. jeff_h Posted October 22, 2016 at 05:29 PM Report Share Posted October 22, 2016 at 05:29 PM I only got mine replaced when it was in for other recalls and when it was still under the 3/36, personally I sure wouldn't have paid a $100 deductible as the light ring is only of marginal use anyway, IMHO. dlb92
My14Energi Posted October 22, 2016 at 06:25 PM Report Share Posted October 22, 2016 at 06:25 PM If you had it replaced at the dealer the part itself should have a motorcraft part warranty and be replaced free of charge

My14Energi Posted October 22, 2016 at 09:24 PM Report Share Posted October 22, 2016 at 09:24 PM (edited) Motorcraft parts have a 24month/unlimited mile warranty and will be honored at any dealer, not just the one that installed it. Your invoice should have that listed from the original repair. Edited October 22, 2016 at 09:25 PM by My14Energi
dlb92 Posted October 23, 2016 at 01:22 AM Author Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 at 01:22 AM I'm not seeing how they would agree to repair it for free though, it seems to be a lot of work. I have premiumcare but it has a deductible.
murphy Posted October 23, 2016 at 12:19 PM Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 at 12:19 PM My second segment is burned out. I have been ignoring it but I'll mention it when I get the modem upgrade. I have Premium Care with $0 deductible.
