dlb92 Posted September 27, 2016 at 12:30 AM Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 at 12:30 AM (edited) I would like to create a low battery capacity thread to see how low batteries have gone, and hopefully get an idea of how low they can/will go in the future. Please post the year of your car, where you mostly drive (climate matters), how many miles you have, and the total KWH used when driving and using a full charge on the battery as shown in myfordmobile or via the dash after your trip. I'll start Fusion Energi 201332,650 milesFlorida4.1Kwh per myfordmobile trip today Edited September 27, 2016 at 12:32 AM by dlb92
jeff_h Posted September 27, 2016 at 12:09 PM Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 at 12:09 PM Here's a screenshot collage of the last 4 trips where all of the HVB got used up... right now her car has 54,900 miles. shaggy314
My14Energi Posted September 29, 2016 at 01:40 AM Report Share Posted September 29, 2016 at 01:40 AM Looks like your mileage range is about right. Is it possible your getting too caught up in the whole kwh used thing? If you were getting 12 miles on a full charge then that would be a problem but i have found too many owners make too much of all the numbers and math. muzicman61
dlb92 Posted September 29, 2016 at 01:58 PM Author Report Share Posted September 29, 2016 at 01:58 PM He must have also been driving 25mph down a mountain, do you see the regen. No way I can get 28 miles on 4.1 here in Florida.

Nope, that's just normal driving in the 'burbs that are mostly flat with some slight hills... the first 3 trips shown are from my wife's driving, the last one is from mine as noted with the different key with my name showing. dlb92 Posted September 29, 2016 at 03:25 PM Author Report Share Posted September 29, 2016 at 03:25 PM (edited) Well how is it you can still get 28 with a 30% reduction in range? The highest I ever got was 32 and that was driving under 40mph the whole way with climate off. I also have never achieved 7 miles of regen on a trip. My driving scores were 90+ Edited September 29, 2016 at 03:27 PM by dlb92
bdginmo Posted September 29, 2016 at 05:53 PM Report Share Posted September 29, 2016 at 05:53 PM (edited) The whole trip was 36 miles. I would guess that 20 miles was pure EV and the other 8 was from hybrid mode. When the ICE is off in hybrid mode it counts as EV miles even though energy came from burning gasoline. So 20 pure EV and 8 hybrid EV are about what I'd expect from 4.1 kwh draw down on a 36 mile trip.
