paulpwi Posted June 18, 2016 at 02:52 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2016 at 02:52 PM Sorry for 2 topics.I just bought a 2016 Fusion Energi Titanium (grey/silver color). My problem is our darn cats jumping on and sleeping on our vehicles. I've seen several electronic (motion activated I think) sonic devices but have read mixed reviews. Since the only logical place to put one of these is the Engine or Trunk I am concerned that it wouldn't really go off when they jumped on the car. Anyone have experience with this? Second question is there a car cover that has a opening for charging during the night? Off topic all together is how do I know what version SYNC I have. One note states 2016+ has Sync 3 but there are no details or definition for 2016+. I am interested in how I can later get Apple Carplay. Thanks
Energized Posted June 18, 2016 at 06:08 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2016 at 06:08 PM SYNC 3 availability depends on the vehicle model. For the Fusion, SYNC3 is on 2017 models, not 2016.
Eric4539 Posted June 19, 2016 at 02:52 AM Report Share Posted June 19, 2016 at 02:52 AM Go to this website and Register. You will need your VIN. Once you log in go to SYNC & VEHICLE FEATURES>Check for software updates, and you will find what version of SYNC your car has. If it is not the latest version you will be able to upgrade. Just follow the instructions. Latest version is SYNC2-V3.8 https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/sync-my-ride.html
