davonavo Posted March 10, 2016 at 12:32 AM Report Share Posted March 10, 2016 at 12:32 AM Is there a warning if the engine is left running and you walk away? With the keyfob in your pocket or purse?
howardbc Posted March 10, 2016 at 12:52 AM Report Share Posted March 10, 2016 at 12:52 AM I'll let someone more knowledgeable than me explain this correctly, but I know that the few times I've started to get out of the car, thinking I'd turned it off, a warning chime goes off and there's a message on the display above the steering wheel that the car needs to be turned off. There's no way you could miss it. I'm sure you've seen the scary and sad stories about plugin owners who left their cars on with very tragic results. Fortunately the Ford Fusion Energi appears to have designed to prevent such things. But again hopefully someone else will be able to speak more specifically to your question. kzoojason76 Posted March 10, 2016 at 02:30 PM Report Share Posted March 10, 2016 at 02:30 PM Doesn't the horn honk at you if you walk away from the car (with key in pocket) while the care is still running?
openair Posted March 10, 2016 at 03:02 PM Report Share Posted March 10, 2016 at 03:02 PM (edited) If the vehicle is ready to drive and you exit the vehicle with the key fob the horn will honk when the door is closed. If you exit the vehicle with the fob inside the doors will not lock. Edited March 10, 2016 at 04:01 PM by openair jdbob and jeff_h
