howardbc Posted March 9, 2016 at 04:29 PM Report Share Posted March 9, 2016 at 04:29 PM I had my car at the dealership yesterday for some minor things. It drove fine afterwards but this morning it is dead. The trunk won't open. I have tried to call Ford Roadside Assistance twice. The first time I waited for 10 minutes and then hung up and tried again, but it is the same thing. You select the options, the phone rings maybe twice, and then it's dead silence. No hold music. Nothing. It's been 20 minutes this time. I called the service adviser and he told me to call Roadside Assistance but obviously something is very wrong. Fortunately I'm home and not stuck out in the desert! Any ideas? Thanks.
murphy Posted March 9, 2016 at 05:47 PM Report Share Posted March 9, 2016 at 05:47 PM (edited) Do you have a 12 volt battery charger? You can open the driver's door with the metal key that is inside of the fob.The rear part of the driver's door handle slides off to reveal a slot for the key. Then you can open the hood. There are battery jump terminals under the hood directly in front of the driver's seat. The positive (+) terminal has a red flexible cover over it.The negative terminal is directly behind the positive terminal and is a bolt sticking up from the shock tower.
