Russael Posted February 24, 2016 at 09:57 PM Report Share Posted February 24, 2016 at 09:57 PM Very interesting... the first offering of an Atkinson V6 too. As most know, I wish they would do something like that to the F150. :)
kzoojason76 Posted February 25, 2016 at 09:05 PM Report Share Posted February 25, 2016 at 09:05 PM A PHEV F150 would have me very interested as well :)
Hybridbear Posted March 8, 2016 at 08:29 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 at 08:29 PM I'm looking forward to seeing this at our Auto Show in a few days. I imagine that the Pacific PHEV is going to be roped off, though. This would be a great next car for my aging parents. They find the height & size of minivans to be most comfortable for their stiff joints.

It is easier to get into than a minivan, and it gets better mileage. Have them try it out before looking at the vans.

The Pacifica would potentially replace their aging Nissan Murano. They find the C-Max to be too small for long drives. They only use it on short trips around town. They still do road trips to visit family & need something bigger than the C-Max for that.

However, I don't have any trouble with just two people; I just put stuff in the back seat, or put the seats down if more space is needed. I've done a number of long trips with it - but never with more than 2 people on board. Ironic isn't it? My dad (85) has a Honda minivan that they use for long trips. The only time I've owned a van is when the kids were young and I needed the space. As I get older, I feel the need to downsize (while keeping comfort, of course). The legroom is too limited for long trips, the elbow room/shoulder room is too minimal, etc.

My wife is 4 foot 10 inches, so she is not that confined. Personally, I don't find the space that limiting, but I do keep the seat high. But I do keep the seat higher, which makes a difference in leg room, and there is only one seat position that is really comfortable.
