roland227 Posted February 12, 2016 at 02:47 PM Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 at 02:47 PM I changed the charge setting from value charge to charge now. Now I can't change it back to value charge as many of the touch buttons have stopped functioning on this one screen. Also MyFord Mobile is unable to sync with the vehicle. Anyone else seen this? Is a master reset in order?

Is a master reset in order?I have a lot of trouble syncing with my car because it apparently has trouble getting an AT&T data connection. This may be related to the fact that by 12/31/2016 AT&T will shut down all 2G cell sites which will leave my car unable to communicate unless Ford does something such as installing an updated data radio or switching to T-Mobile which I think will still have 2G support. How's that for a run on sentence?
openair Posted February 12, 2016 at 05:07 PM Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 at 05:07 PM (edited) I believe it was Hybridbear who posted that a Ford rep had told him 3g modems are already in the works to replace most or all existing 2g modems. As for the op, a master reset is likely going to be the first thing Ford suggests. What other button's do not work? Can you check a value charge profile still exists and wasn't deleted by the vehicle somehow? My go times get randomly deleted about once a week. flyingcheesehead Posted February 12, 2016 at 09:23 PM Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 at 09:23 PM I'm wondering if a Master Reset would fix some of the ills I've been having (Remote Start settings grayed out, Go Times keep disappearing, etc)... So, how does one do a Master Reset?

So, how does one do a Master Reset? Its buried in the menus of the MFT screen. The GO times disappearing is likely a problem with the website. My GO time of long standing was gone on Wednesday morning.

roland227 Posted February 14, 2016 at 01:24 AM Author Report Share Posted February 14, 2016 at 01:24 AM I found my solution. This problem was also discussed on the MyFordMobile Forum. The cell modem in the fusion energi seems to have locked up. The master reset did not fix the issue. Pulling fuse #10 and reinstalling fixed both the MyFordMobile sync problem and allowed me to use the charge setting screen. They seem to be linked. Pulling fuse #10 is a pain. The fuse panel is located under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column is is hard to access. jeff_h

The lower trim panel under the steering wheel pops off, revealing a hole to get your arm through to the fuse panel. You'll have to work with the box blindly, but I find that far easier than being an acrobat. :)

After seeing your report I checked MFM this morning and the GO time is gone.

Its either the car/MFM....so its a Ford issue.AT&T has been converting 2G sites for a long time. There used to be two 2G sites near my home, now there is only one. Neither of them were very strong in my garage which is covered with stucco. Stucco is installed on a wire mesh so my garage is a very low signal area. They are not going to turn all of the 2G sites off on 12/31/16. They are going to turn the last one off on 12/31/16. Hybridbear
