Drivers can use just their voice to ask Siri for requests including:• Making phone calls to contacts in their address book• Looking up phone numbers for restaurants or other points of interest • Setting a reminder or alarm• Asking about the weather• Select and play music• Audibly send and receive text messages• Getting directions through Apple MapsThe new software update is available for vehicles equipped with the second generation of SYNC, known as MyFord Touch in North America, ranging from model years 2011 to 2016. kzoojason76 Posted December 14, 2015 at 06:38 PM Report Share Posted December 14, 2015 at 06:38 PM iOS 9.2 seems to have introduced some issues. When using Siri Eyes Free, it switches the radio over to Bluetooth, and won't switch it back. You have to manually switch it back if you want to get back to the station you were listening to. Hopefully Apple will fix this.

SteveEnergi Posted January 4, 2016 at 01:19 PM Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 at 01:19 PM My sync is v3.6. When I go to the owner.ford.com site, it says "your SYNC is up-to-date", however there is a note there about version "3.8" dated December 18th. I do not have a link anywhere to download v3.8. Also in the upper right hand corner it shows my latest "update" as, January 4th 2014. How can I get the latest version? Is there another download site somewhere? Thanks,Steve

Thanks,SteveThe Ford reps don't want you to do it but IMHO Ford has totally dropped the ball on this. Telling me to go to my dealer to have it installed is nonsense. They would probably want $100 to do it. As an ex Ford employee I am appalled at the incompetence of their website support. I downloaded the file from the link in this post on the Fusion Hybrid forum http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/10558-version-38-available/?do=findComment&comment=100530 and installed it in my 2013 Fusion Energi. It worked fine and I eventually figured out how to report the install to the Ford Owner website.
SteveEnergi Posted January 4, 2016 at 02:41 PM Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 at 02:41 PM Thank you Murphy, I'll give it a try. Why would I want to waste a morning at the Ford dealer for a simple update? Steve
SteveEnergi Posted January 6, 2016 at 12:37 PM Report Share Posted January 6, 2016 at 12:37 PM As Murphy suggested, I downloaded the software from the Hybrid site and it successfully installed. The only issue was it didn't write the xml file to my usb, so the update didn't report to the Ford site. I had to download and run the "software validation tool" for the xml file to be generated. I then manually reported the update to the Ford site by uploading the xml file to the Ford site. My account is accurate and current. Thanks for your help. Hopefully Apple will fix this. Just noticed this on the owner site: Posted Dec. 18, 2015: Some 2011 thru 2016 Ford vehicles with MyFord Touch and 3.8 software may have a symptom of Siri Eyes Free not working over Bluetooth properly with iPhones at iOS 9.2 software. Ford is currently working with Apple on a resolution for this. For the time being, having the phone plugged into the USB port allows Siri Eyes Free to operate properly. We recommend that owners of MyFord Touch-equipped vehicles have their phones plugged into the USB port to operate Siri. If plugging into the USB port causes Autoplay to start playing USB media, please note that this can be disabled, or enabled, using the process described in the owners manual.
