Plug in charging not available. 47 mpg overall, 332 EV miles. Long slow crawl up over Tioga Pass, good regenerative braking on the way down to Yosemite. Best EV only performance approx 76 MPGe. Don't clearly understand how MPGe is calculated, believe this means ICE doesn't run. Previous vehicle was a 2011 Fusion Hybrid. The Energi appears to do a little better in Hybrid mode. Really appreciate all the driver assist gadgets. Pretty good. My best over a long trip so far has only been 41 mpg. I've just completed a 55 mpg tank, but that was under optimal conditions I think, across the lower half of the BlueRidge Parkway. I consider low 40's to be a solid decent trip average, but I would consider 47 to be an excellent tank average, let alone trip average. Really appreciate all the driver assist gadgets. How are you calculating MPGe? Only the 2013 Energi could display MPGe on the dash of the car. We also love the Driver Assist features. It doesn't. It's just about spot-on correct on this long trip. Displayed mpg: 44 mpg.Calculated mpg: 44.04 mpg It was all EV-Later from gas station fill-up to gas station fill-up (except for a 0.1 kWh/0.1 mile mental lapse when I forgot to immediately change to EV-Later after startup), me doing the fill-ups (I had to get out of my home state of NJ with its full service law before I could do this test), letting each fill-up click off automatically and not topping up manually. Different brands of gas stations, thus maybe different types of pumps, if that matters. EDIT: Forgot to add that I wasn't hypermiling or anything like that. Couldn't buy one within a 100 miles so I had to go to California to get mine. I drove it home about 180 miles, over the mountains, and just love the car. I have over 2000 miles and have a 1/4 tank left and have not added any gas yet but I will fill it before winter sets in with added fuel stabilizer.
