Probably will only briefly hold the top spot until Model X, Volt and Leaf models come out, but still you would think this would be moderately encouraging to Ford management. Over the years these sales figures are such that Ford has by now accumulated a LOT of data with their three cars - Fusion compares how much people will pay for regular vs hybrid vs plug-in hybrid, C-Max hybrid vs plug-in hybrid, and Focus regular vs pure electric. Also all three are different classes of vehicles, so they can compare with other manufacturers too. So now they know how people use all three (how often and where they charge, driving habits, demographics, etc) and what they value. It is, as far as I know, a unique multi-year mullti-variable study in the world of EVs. I haven't seen much news on how Ford will use this knowledge - that is, what their plans are for the future?
